The Dallas Cowboys agreed to terms with free-agent safety Jayron Kearse on an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday. The five-year pro began his career with four seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before playing for the Detroit Lions in 2020, where he recorded 59 tackles in seven starts. Along with Kearse, the Cowboys also visited with free-agent safeties Damontae Kazee and Malik Hooker on Wednesday. Kearse was taken in the seventh round of the 2016 draft and appeared in 62 games (five starts) in his time with the Vikings, where he was a rotational option at defensive back and a core special teams player.
