Jamin Davis Appears In Court Monday
1 year agoWashington Commanders linebacker Jamin Davis was in court on Monday to appeal a reckless driving conviction that sentenced him to 30 days in jail, a suspended license and a fine. Judge Stephen E. Sincavage rejected a plea agreement from Davis that would have resulted in no more than eight days of active incarceration. The 24-year-old is facing a Class 1 misdemeanor that is punishable with up to 12 months in jail in Virginia for going 114 mph in a 45 mph zone. The former first-rounder in 2021 had 104 total tackles (68 solo), nine tackles for loss, five QB hits, three sacks and two fumble recoveries in 16 games (15 starts) in his second NFL season in 2022. As long as Davis isn't suspended by the league, he should be an option on IDP benches to start the 2023 season.
