Xavier Weaver Questionable in Week 14, Set for Expanded Role if Active
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Xavier Weaver (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable heading into Week 14 with a hamstring injury. Weaver was a limited participant in Thursday's practice but was unable to practice on Friday. If he can play Sunday, Weaver could be in for an expanded role in a pass-heavy offense with Marvin Harrison Jr. (heel) and Greg Dortch (chest) being ruled out for Week 14. The 25-year-old was one of Coach Deion Sanders' early transfers at Colorado and showed flashes of playmaking ability in 2023. Despite leading Colorado in receiving yards that year, Weaver went undrafted and has found a role with the Cardinals. So far this season, Weaver hasn't been a factor on offense and has only seen eight targets. He will face a stout Los Angeles Rams defense in Week 14 that has allowed the ninth-fewest passing touchdowns this season. In an offense with plenty of targets to go around, Weaver could be worth a dart throw in deeper leagues in Week 14.
