Frank Ragnow Mulling His Future This Offseason
10 months agoDetroit Lions All-Pro center Frank Ragnow isn't openly talking about retirement, but he said playing through a cavalcade of injuries -- including a now-inoperable toe condition -- in 2023 has taken a toll on his body and he needs time to assess the damage and plot his future. The Lions plan to give Ragnow all the time he needs this offseason. The 27-year-old former first-rounder is coming off his second All-Pro campaign. In addition to his toe injury, he also played through back and knee injuries this past season and underwent surgery on a partially torn meniscus during the year and played a week later. Ragnow didn't miss a snap in the Divisional Round win over the Buccaneers despite spraining both his ankle and knee. If Ragnow ends up retiring, the Lions will have serious question marks along their strong offensive line heading into the 2024 season.
