Fletcher Cox Should Be OK
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (ribs) should be fine moving forward, according to a league source. Cox underwent an MRI exam on Monday morning after he suffered a "friendly fire" shot to the ribs when he collided with teammate Zach Cunningham in the Week 1 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. Cox's availability for Thursday's game against the Minnesota Vikings could depend on pain management. For what it's worth, Cox was estimated as a non-participant in practice on Monday. If the 32-year-old is held out as a precaution in Week 2, expect to see more of Jalen Carter and Milton Williams on the interior of the Eagles' defensive line.
