Eugenio Suarez Launches 16th Home Run
Eugenio Suarez crushed a mammoth 466-foot home run to help lead the club to a 3-1 victory over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Suarez's two-run blast against southpaw Mitchell Parker was his lone hit of the game in a 1-for-4 performance. He now has 16 HRs and 44 RBI to go with an above-average .231/.311/.509 line in 241 plate appearances. The 33-year-old did strike out once on Sunday, but his 23.2% K rate this season represents a significant decrease from the combined 29.5% mark he logged from 2019-24. The decline in strikeouts has paid off so far for Suarez, who's on pace for his sixth season of 30-plus homers.
