3 years agoFree-agent cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is working out for the Houston Texans on Friday, according to a source. The former Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals starter has also visited with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots in the offseason. The Texans could use more cornerback depth after recently trading Bradley Roby. The 31-year-old former first-round pick in 2012 played in 14 games (11 starts) for the Cardinals last year and had 56 tackles (53 solo), three interceptions and seven passes defensed. Kirkpatrick can provide some valuable veteran insurance for the Texans secondary, but their defensive unit as a whole should be off the fantasy radar in what figures to be a tough season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
