1 year agoBoston Celtics guard Derrick White is loving life in Beantown and feels ready to negotiate an extension. "I love being here in Boston," White said on ESPN's NBA Today. "It would be cool to get an extension. We'll see what happens during that window, but I've loved my time in Boston so far and my focus right now is just on the season." White still has two more years to go on his current deal, but he will become eligible for a three-year extension in September. The 29-year-old had his first full season with the Celtics in 2022-23, averaging 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, while being named on the All-Defensive Second Team. White has been a great fit at the club, and he looks set for another good campaign, especially with Marcus Smart's departure opening up more backcourt responsibilities for him.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
