Corbin Carroll Sitting Out Wednesday
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll is not in the team's starting lineup on Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Carroll will take a breather after starting the team's last 29 games. The 22-year-old has been that good this year and is the easy favorite for National League Rookie of the Year in 2023. Carroll is one of the most dynamic all-around players in the big leagues in his first full season, as he's currently hitting .313 (71-for-227) with 17 doubles, three triples, 14 home runs, 35 RBI, 19 stolen bases, 51 runs scored and a league-leading .998 OPS in 64 games. There's nothing he can't do on the diamond. With Carroll out Wednesday, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is starting in left field and batting third against Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez.
