Clayton Richard Finally Stumbles
Clayton Richard pitched seven innings and allowed four earned runs in Wednesday's loss against the Texas Rangers. He was in trouble often, conceding 10 hits and a walk while striking out only three. The outing was Richard's first poor showing in his last six starts and his season sits at a 4.29 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 7.1 K/9. Richard continues to gobble up innings, though, as Wednesday marked his 10th consecutive appearance lasting at least six frames. He wraps up an excellent June with a 4-1 record, 3.27 ERA and 1.06 WHIP. Despite Wednesday's hiccup, Richard remains a viable, low-cost and widely available weekly fantasy streamer.
