The Dallas Cowboys are without two of their top cornerbacks for practice Sunday as Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis are sidelined due to injury. Awuzie, a projected starter, has been battling a knee ailment while Lewis is wearing a walking boot on his left foot. Trevon Diggs appears to be a safe bet to start at one of the two CB spots irrespective of any injuries in the secondary, but things begin to open up after that if Dallas doesn’t have Awuzie or Lewis for Week 1 against the Rams. Dallas’ defense has been steadily rising in season-long drafts as of late, largely due to the additions of Everson Griffen and Dontari Poe along the defensive line. With Pro Bowl potential littering the field, the Cowboys are a high-upside, high-risk selection at this stage.--Jesse BorekRead More News
