Cardinals Add Veteran Marlon Mack To Backfield
1 year agoThe Arizona Cardinals signed free-agent veteran running back Marlon Mack to an undisclosed deal on Friday and cut long-snapper Jack Coco in a corresponding move. The Cardinals added Mack to their backfield after working him out at training camp on Thursday. The 27-year-old will add more depth behind starter James Conner entering the 2023 season. He played in eight games with the Denver Broncos (six contests) and San Francisco 49ers (two games) last year and rushed 16 times for 84 yards and one touchdown, adding eight receptions for 99 yards and another score. Mack ended the 2022 campaign on Injured Reserve with a hamstring injury. He's not a lock to make the final roster in Arizona and probably won't have much of a role if he does make the team out of camp.
