Byron Buxton Activated From Injured List
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins activated outfielder Byron Buxton (rib) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and optioned outfielder Trevor Larnach to Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move. Buxton, who has served exclusively as a designated hitter this year, should be back in Thursday's starting lineup against Detroit Tigers left-hander Matthew Boyd. Before his injury, the 29-year-old power/speed threat was in a pretty deep slump, and he's hitting just .220 (40-for-182) overall this year, but with 10 home runs, 23 RBI, six steals and 31 runs scored in 50 games played. Buxton is a must-start in fantasy lineups, but managers may want to temper expectations upon his return from the injured list.
