49ers Release Tyron Johnson
2 years agoThe San Francisco 49ers released wide receiver Tyron Johnson on Thursday. Johnson finds himself back on the free-agent market after signing with the Niners back in January. He spent time with the Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders in 2022, catching his only target for an eight-yard gain with the Texans. The 27-year-old pass-catcher played in four total games (one start). Johnson has played three seasons in the NFL after going undrafted. In 26 career games (one start), he has racked up 23 receptions on 32 targets for 422 yards and three touchdowns with the Los Angeles Chargers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Raiders and Texans.
