LEC DFS Matchups

  • SK vs. XL (-175)
  • Schalke vs. Misfits (-170)
  • Rogue (-475) vs. Astralis
  • Vitality vs. Mad Lions (-190)
  • G2 (-185) vs. Fnatic

Captain/MVP

Rekkles - G2: Rekkles is tied for the league lead in kills through the first six games. This game features the two teams with the most kills in the league. There will be plenty of fighting and there's also a little revenge narrative in here for Rekkles.

Jankos – G2: Sticking to the G2 theme in the captain/mvp spot for this slate. You will absolutely want a piece of this game and I am on the G2 side of it. This game will be bloody and Jankos is second to Rekkles in Kill Share on G2. He also comes in much cheaper and allows for more flexibility in the rest of your lineup

TOP

HiRit - MSF:  HiRit continues to put up impressive numbers. He goes up against BrokenBlade who is a solid player, but Schalke as a team just have not looked great. HiRit owns the highest KS% of all top laners at 29.3%. HiRit is a safe choice in a tough pool of top laners on this slate

Odoamne- RGE: Odoamne is known as the weakside king. What that means is that Rogue just leaves him up there to fend for himself while the rest of the team focuses on the other lanes. While the strategy works for Rogue it is crappy for fantasy numbers. There aren't many great options in the top lane on this slate and there are still some numbers that give us hope.

He is averaging a 144 Gold Difference at 10 minutes (GD10) and a 122 XPD10, meanwhile, his counterpart in WhiteKnight is -226 and -201 in the respective categories. Odoamne also has a counter pick rate of 83% compared to WhiteKnights 33% meaning Odo should find himself in quite the favorable matchup in this game.

JUNGLE

Jankos – G2: If you haven't chosen Jankos in the captain slot, he is worth considering here

Razork - MSF: Razork has been involved in 80.8% of Misfits kills so far this split and has gone under 25 fantasy points just once so far. Going up against statistically the worst jungler in the league in Kirei, Razork should have no trouble continuing to build on those numbers.

MID

Caps - G2: Caps is still the best mid laner in the league and easily one of the top overall players in the LEC. Rekkles has been putting up the great kill numbers but Caps has still been heavily involved in G2’s games. This game against Fnatic will involve plenty of fights and if Caps can get the counter pick in this matchup look for him to find ways to take over the game.

Vetheo - MSF: Vetheo has been a fantasy beast so far in this split, even in slates that you aren’t looking to stack Misfits he is worth considering. This just so happens to be a slate where I will be playing multiple Misfit members. He sits near the top of the leaderboard in kills for the entire league and a matchup against Nuclearint and Schalke shouldn’t slow him down.

ADC

Rekkles - G2: If you haven't played Rekkles at the captain position, lock him in here.

Kobbe - MSF: Kobbe has been incredibly consistent so far putting up over 20 points in each game so far. While his kill totals arent what you would like to see from an ADC that is mainly because Vetheo and HiRit have been going crazy. If you have both HiRit and Vetheo in your lineup along with Kobbe then it really doesn’t matter who is finishing the kill as long as everyone is involved.

Hans Sama - RGE: Any ADC against Astralis is worth considering as their bot lane combines for 48.3% of the deaths on the team. It also helps that Hans Sama is one of the best ADC in the league. The skill gap between Rogue and Astralis bot lanes is massive and that should translate to a great fantasy outing by Hans Sama on this slate.

SUPPORT

Mikyx- G2: Mikyx has been great for G2 through the early games of this split. He brings a 70.8% Kill Participation and has shown a great ability to roam the map and make plays in other lanes. If you are playing Rekkles, I don’t see any reason not to pair him up with Mikyx

Trymbi - RGE: Trymbi is a good support, but he isn’t on the same level as the top supports in the LEC just yet. Against Astralis he is worth a look, as mentioned earlier their bot lane combines for just under 50% of their team's deaths, and his ADC in Hans Sama is a beast. If playing Hans pair him up with Trymbi and hope the skill gap translates into a bunch of kills during this game.

TEAM

Rogue: Rogue as a team is worth a look on this slate. Their neutral objective rates are not all that impressive, but they are still a strong team in a good matchup. Astralis also has poor neutral objective rates so one of the team's numbers has to go up after this one. I lean that the better team in Rogue takes the advantage.

Misfits: Misfits have been doing a great job controlling dragons with a 73% control rate which is good for first in the league. What makes it even better is Schalke has an abysmal 13% dragon control rate which is good for last in the league. That just screams free points for the Misfits team. I am surprised the odds on this game aren’t bigger as Misfits are clearly a much better team so far.

Final Thoughts

There is a couple of clear stay-away games for me on this slate. Both the SK/XL game and the VIT/MAD game just do not interest me that much. I could see an argument for playing the latter of those games but Mad Lions just haven’t impressed me and I don’t think you need to go there. Rogue is never a team you feel super excited about rostering but there are slates you need them and this is looking like one of those slates.

FNC/G2 is going to be a fun one and while  I didn’t list any Fnatic players in the write-up, they are still certainly viable as a one-off play. If you think Fnatic pulls off the upset then absolutely get as many of them in your lineup as you can as it is almost a lock to be the bloodiest game of the day. Enjoy the games and good luck to everyone today.
