Khalil Herbert's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Khalil Herbert for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3
ANALYSIS: Khalil Herbert returned to the playing field in Week 11 after missing the previous five games due to injury. He was given 16 carries and two receptions in his first game back but it was an inefficient day as he gained just 35 rushing yards and six receiving yards on his touches. With fellow running back D'Onta Foreman (ankle) knocked out of the game early due to injury, it was an opportunity for Herbert to take control of the Bears' backfield and he flopped.
In Week 12, he will face the Minnesota Vikings, who have been fairly stingy against opposing running backs. They have allowed just five touchdowns and 796 yards to the position on the season. D'Andre Swift gashed the Vikings for 175 rushing yards way back in Week 2, but that was an aberration as they have not allowed a running back more than 65 yards on the ground since then. If Foreman's ankle injury lingers, then Herbert might be worth a start but as things stand Herbert shows little upside while splitting time against a tough rush defense.
