Ryan's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 of 2025. Are the breakout performances from Wan'Dale Robinson, Chimere Dike, and Greg Dortch legit or flukes?
The fantasy football regular season is just two weeks from coming to a close. Some managers may be sitting pretty with studs like Christian McCaffrey, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, or Jahmyr Gibbs anchoring their teams, but starting those guys doesn't always guarantee a victory.
Sometimes the grind of fantasy requires mining the waivers for overlooked gems. Situations can emerge that force you into playing guys like Wan'Dale Robinson, Greg Dortch, and Chimere Dike. For chunks of the season, that decision would not have necessarily worked out, but Week 12 was a different story.
That is the beauty and the curse of this game we all love to hate. Usual weekly locks like Nico Collins and Justin Jefferson can finish outside the top-35 WRs on the week, but unsung heroes can also come out of the woodwork and put up big numbers. This begs the question: are those numbers a sign of things to come? Let's dive in.

Was Wan'Dale Robinson's Performance Legit Or A Fluke?
Robinson finished second league-wide in yards, targets, and total WR points this past week. Many thought Darius Slayton would benefit the most from having Jameis Winston under center, but after the first play from scrimmage in which he caught a 23-yard out, Slayton was only targeted once the rest of the afternoon. Robinson absolutely dominated the targets from Winston, as he saw almost 40% of the attempts and accounted for half of Winston's 18 completions.
This was a career game for Robinson, besting his previous high of 142 yards in the Week 2 shootout with Dallas. The bad news for Robinson owners is that Winston will revert to his backup duties with Jaxson Dart very likely coming back from his concussion suffered in Week 10, but this doesn't mean Robinson should revert to your bench as well.
The fourth-year pro has seen ample target volume from Dart, with 38 total looks from Weeks 7 to 10 when the rookie QB was hitting his stride before the injury. That ranks third among WRs across the league. His yards per reception certainly left a lot to be desired, but that has been the story of his career thus far.
Robinson has primarily operated as a short-area, close-to-the-line-of-scrimmage target, but this was not the case in Week 12 with multiple downfield looks, including a 39-yard touchdown on the first drive.
While Winston may raise the overall ceiling of Robinson, Dart is still a steady presence for him at the quarterback position and should continue to pepper him with targets the rest of the way. Don't expect a top-5 performance from Robinson every week, but his outlook is rock solid with either Winston or Dart at the helm. He can be started as a low-end WR2/flex option in all leagues.

Was Chimere Dike's Performance Legit Or A Fluke?
It has been a season from hell for the Titans this year, as they currently sit with the best odds to secure the first overall pick for the second year in a row. While their playoff hopes have long been gone, a few young guys are starting to emerge, and fourth-round rookie Chimere Dike is at the top of that list.
The Florida product is not only leading the NFL in return yards (1,286) and touchdowns (two), but has emerged as the top receiving option for a desperate Titans team.
The clear No. 1 wideout, Calvin Ridley, broke his fibula in Week 11, and fellow rookie WR Elic Ayomanor missed last week with a hamstring injury. Dike stepped up, catching five of seven targets for 44 yards and a touchdown to go along with a 90-yard punt return TD.
This wasn't his only productive game this year. With Ridley nursing a hamstring injury earlier this season, Dike flashed in Week 7 vs. New England with four catches for 70 yards, and followed it up with seven for 93 a week later at Indy.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward has also looked much better the past two weeks, scoring three total touchdowns and zero picks against two of the NFL's best defenses. The Titans are still far from a competent offense, but with Ridley gone for good and Ayomanor still questionable, they simply have no other wideouts to throw the ball to.
If Ayomanor is back out there on Sunday, Dike is a much riskier play. But if Tennessee holds its other rookie out for another game, he can definitely be started as a WR3/flex option against a pass-funnel Jaguars defense.

Was Greg Dortch's Performance Legit Or A Fluke?
Like Dike above, Dortch's fantasy outlook for next week and beyond really hinges on the health of another player. Former top-5 pick Marvin Harrison Jr. has missed the last two games after getting his appendix removed on November 10.
It was originally thought that this minimally invasive surgery would only keep him out one week, but it's now coming up on three weeks post-procedure, and his status remains uncertain.
Harrison's absence, along with Jacoby Brissett leading the NFL in passing yards since he took over the job in Week 6, has turned Dortch into more than just a playable fantasy asset recently. He's posted back-to-back top-14 weekly WR finishes and played over 60% of snaps in those contests.
Prior to Harrison missing time, Dortch had hit that snap share only once this season and was averaging less than two receptions per game. His fellow wideout, Michael Wilson, has benefited the most from the Harrison/Brissett situation with two top-10 weeks, including a WR1 overall finish. Dortch is still putting up numbers as the third option in the Cardinals' passing attack behind Wilson and tight end Trey McBride.
If Harrison comes back, Dortch's snap share will likely plummet back to his pre-Week 11 numbers, which were around 27%. That is not enough action to sustain consistent fantasy production, even with Brissett tossing for 300 yards per game.
Dortch is off the radar if Maserati Marv can go, but if he misses another game, the shifty receiver can be slotted in as a solid flex option facing a weak Buccaneers pass defense this coming Sunday.
