Fantasy Football Injury Reports: Friday Wild Card Weekend Updates for Zay Flowers, Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, J.K. Dobbins, Aaron Jones, and More

Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Prioritize in PPR, But Fade in Standard Leagues (2025)

Fantasy football injury updates and injury reports for RB, WR, TE for Wild Card Weekend (2025), as of 1/10, including Zay Flowers, Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert, Devonta Smith, Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Jalen McMillan, Cade Otton, J.K. Dobbins, and Aaron Jones.

The NFL playoffs are officially here! While regular season fantasy football has concluded, many sickos still desire more fantasy football, whether through DFS or full playoff competitions. It all starts Saturday with Wild Card Weekend, leading into three days of games where 12 teams will battle to advance in the playoffs. While there are fewer teams to follow, it is still important to keep a close eye on injuries from top players.

To keep close tabs on all of the news across the NFL, make sure to favorite or bookmark the fantasy football player news page. Also, download the free RotoBaller fantasy football mobile app with push notification alerts on all the latest news.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions are both on bye and get an extra week to get healthy, but the other 12 teams don't have that luxury. Let's look at the updates for key players from those teams and see whether they may play on Wild Card Weekend.

Zay Flowers Injury Update

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers (knee) has been officially ruled out for Saturday night's matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Ravens will be without their top receiver in this three versus six AFC matchup between division rivals, which will surely hinder their offense. Flowers had five catches for 100 yards in a 34-17 victory over the Steelers back in Week 16.

In terms of fantasy impact, this should boost the other guys a bit, such as Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and maybe even Isaiah Likely, but this does hurt Lamar Jackson a bit, especially in DFS. Against a division rival who has had his number in the past and without his top wide receiver, there are better options in DFS. If you want to pick a Ravens player, lean towards Derrick Henry.

Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, Dallas Goedert, DeVonta Smith Injury Updates

Philadelphia Eagles stars Jalen Hurts (concussion/left finger), A.J. Brown (knee), and Dallas Goedert (knee) have all been officially cleared for Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers. Devonta Smith (back), who wasn't on the injury report all week until today, didn't practice and currently has an unspecified injury tag.

However, it seems to be due to rest rather than the back injury he has been dealing with, as all reports are indicating he will play.

The Packers have a solid defense, but that doesn't stop all those guys from being potential fantasy options both in full playoff competitions and DFS. The Eagles offense has been a bit up and down, but if you believe in the ups, they have great fantasy potential throughout the playoffs.

Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, Jalen McMillan, Cade Otton Injury Updates

Tampa Bay Buccaneers stars Mike Evans (rest), Bucky Irving (shoulder/shin), Jalen McMillan (finger), and Cade Otton (knee) have varying practice participation heading into Sunday night's matchup with the Washington Commanders. Evans, Irving, and McMillan all seem primed to play, but Otton is questionable. That shouldn't mean a whole lot for fantasy, as since Evans returned from injury and McMillan has steadily improved towards the end of the season, those two have hogged all the production from Otton.

Irving and Evans are the key players for fantasy managers specifically, but in DFS, Evans may be risky going up against his nemesis Marshon Lattimore from back in his Saints era. Combining that with Evans being likely banged up still given rests during practice this week, and you've got a very risky fantasy asset. Irving is much easier to trust for those looking to invest in the Buccaneers offense.

J.K. Dobbins Injury Update

Los Angeles Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins (ankle) is officially questionable for Saturday afternoon's matchup with the Houston Texans. He was limited at practice all week. While his status remains up in the air, he does seem likely to play given he returned from injury in Week 17 and has not been limited at all.

The Chargers will be without wide receiver Joshua Palmer, so the offense may need to rely on Dobbins and the run game even more than usual. Him and an officially healthy Gus Edwards should dominate touches to keep Houston's top-tier pass rush at bay. Dobbins, receiver Ladd McConkey, and Justin Herbert are the main fantasy options for the Chargers. They serve as good options in DFS, and if you believe in a Chargers Cinderella run, could all be great values in full playoff competitions.

Aaron Jones Injury Update

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones (quad) has been limited through two practices so far, and has an uncertain status heading into Monday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Given the game is on Monday, he still has a day to practice and clear up his status.

The Vikings running back, along with pass catchers Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson all seem like potential options for playoff fantasy, both in full competitions and DFS. The Vikings were just one win away from having a bye rather than playing in the four versus five game, so they are definitely dangerous playoff contenders. Sam Darnold has been playing well enough to get the team to this point, but he is really the only potential holdup for those stud skill players from a fantasy perspective.
