FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (4/10/17): MLB DFS Advice

We have 10 games to kick off the week with. Five are in the early slate, and there is a five game main slate. I'm going to try and hit on a bit of both, just to cover the full range of players and options out there. Some big name arms on the mound today, so do what you can to fit them into your lineups, especially if you are playing cash games.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/10/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel.

You can read our DraftKings and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

Offensive Stacks

Colorado Rockies vs Trevor Cahill

Rockies are at home up against Cahill who didn't have the strongest first start, and not looking like it will be easier at Coors Field. Up and down the Rockies lineup you can find players that are good to stack together. This is the last game of the slate, so it will give you that late night hammer to jump you up in some GPPs. Trevor Story, Nolan Arenadoand Charlie Blackmon, are great options.

Also Consider: Nationals vs Adam Wainwright

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Jacob deGrom - P, @ PHI ($10,000)

DeGrom had a very strong first outing versus the Braves last week. He held them to six scoreless innings, while striking out six batters. He didn't pick up the win, but he did get the Quality Start, which is a new stat on Fanduel. He also only gave up 2 HITS, and 1 WALK, so he has a super low WHIP. The Phillies also have a 23% strikeout rate versus right-handed pitchers, and with deGrom being a power pitcher, this puts him in a very nice spot to rake up the strikeouts. Last season deGrom average 6.72 K/9, so we know he has a good base to get you some points.

Michael Pineda - P, vs TAM ($8,200)

Now I know some of you may be wondering why I'm here recommending Pineda. But the Rays had to worst strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers last year at 25%. They strikeout, and they do it in bunches. Just last week, Pineda gave up eight hits and four runs to this Rays team. But he did have six strikeouts. So if he can limit the hits and runs, the upside potential is there for him. I see him as mainly a GPP play, since there are so many big name pitchers on the slate today, you would want to roster one of them in your cash lineups.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Mark Reynolds - 1B, vs SDP ($4,000)

Reynolds is off to a hot start this season, his stats so far: .346 AVG, 3 HR, and 8 RBI. He is averaging 15.7 fantasy points per game. Now I know that its early and that number will even out, but he is hitting it well to start the season, and rostering him will give you some exposure to the Rockies offense at Coors Field. Last year, Reynolds hit for .326 AVG, 26 RBI at home vs right-handed pitchers. He is one of the more expensive options at 1B, but he has good consistency and good upside.

Ben Zobrist - 2B, vs LOS ($3,000)

Zobrist has been hitting clean up for the Cubs for the past few games, and he has two home runs to show for it. The Cubs offense is one of the best in baseball, so getting their cleanup hitter for only 3K, seems like a bit of a steal. He wasn't the most consistent last year vs left-handed pitchers at home, he only hit for .242 AVG. So because of that, he is probably bested used in a Cubs stack, rather than just a one off play.

Kyle Seager - 3B, vs HOU ($3,600)

Seager has been a good option for the past season or so. He hit high in the order, and he hits for average. Last season at home vs right-handed pitchers, he hit for .311 AVG, his highest split, home or away. Seager has been off to a slow start this season, so I know there is some apprehension when it comes to rostering him. But we are only six games into this season, and good players will always rise to the top. Also his first home game of home game of the year, so there is plenty to play for.

Stephen Drew - SS, vs STL ($2,000)

With Trea Turner going down with a slight injury, there is an opening at shortstop for the Nationals, and its Drew's turn to step in. He isn't the best player in the world, but he is minimum salary on Fanduel, and he gets you some exposure to the Nationals offense, which as we know, can be very powerful. Last season, he did hit .276 vs right-handed pitchers, so he is at least somewhat competent. If he can get around seven to eleven points, he will be worth it.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Adam Duvall - OF, @ PIT, ($3,400)

Duvall is off to a good start this year with 2 HR and 4 RBI. He is batting high in the Reds order, so he will see plenty of at bats. Even though most people don't expect the Reds to have an amazing offense this year, Duvall still has plenty of potential. Last year he hit 26 of his 34 HR, versus right-handed pitchers. And could you guess what kind of pitcher he is going against today? That is correct, he is going up against a right-handed pitcher. So he has the recent track record of going yard, and in a hitter friendly park like Pittsburgh, great option tonight.

Travis Jankowski - OF, @ COL ($3,000)

Jankowski has been hitting first or second in the lineup vs right-handed pitchers this year, and today we will be seeing the same. He hit for .275 AVG last year vs righties, which isn't the best number, but a cheap player like this at Coors Field, he is worth the look. He also has great ability to steal bases once he gets on base, last season he has 30 SB, 26 of which came when a righty was on the mound. His OBP was .368 last year vs right-handed pitchers, so expect him to get on, and then score you some points.

Kyle Schwarber - OF vs LOS ($3,500)

Schwarber is always an exciting player to have on your roster, since you know the home run potential is there every time he is up to bat. Last year we know he went down in the first few games with a bad knee injury, so there are no real stats to show you how well he can hit. He is just too cheap for his potential output, and I think he can be used in either cash or in a stack for GPPs. The Cubs offense is one of the best in baseball, and to get a player under 4K, who has the potential to go deep, I see this as an easy answer.
