Week 12 Schedule

Five Games - Nuggets

Four Games - Hawks, Celtics, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Pistons, Rockets, Lakers, Bucks, Knicks, Magic, 76ers, Trail Blazers, Kings, Spurs, Jazz, Wizards

Three Games - Nets, Hornets, Bulls, Warriors, Pacers, Clippers, Grizzlies, Heat, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Thunder, Suns, Raptors

Week 12 Standard Leagues - Waiver Wire Pickups

Justise Winslow - PG/SF/PF, HEAT (66% Ownership)

Winslow has been the Heat's starting point guard over the last nine games, during which time the team has gone 7-2 during the span. Though Miami has deployed multiple rotations throughout the season, the 22-year-old should remain cemented at the one spot as long as the team continues to win, or at least until Goran Dragic returns from a knee injury that will keep him on the shelf for the next few months. Either way, the organization is very high on the youngster and his minutes' allowance should reflect that moving forward.

Tomas Satoransky - PG/SG, WIZARDS (61% Ownership)

Satoransky should have a place on virtually every fantasy roster with the absence of John Wall, who will be out of commission for the foreseeable future with a heel injury. In the last four outings in which Satoransky has started in place of Wall, the 27-year-old is averaging 13 points, six boards, four assists, and a little over one steal per game. With Wall's return not coming for the Wizards anytime soon, if ever again, Satoransky will continue to start at the one and do so while playing over 30 minutes per contest.

Jeff Green - SF/PF, WIZARDS (37% Ownership)

Jeff Green has also turned up the volume in the absence of John Wall, Dwight Howard, Marcus Morris, and Otto Porter Jr, who is just returning after missing some time with a knee injury. Though his minutes' allocation will take a hit once Porter is back at full-strength and in the starting rotation, he will continue to split time with Trevor Ariza, picking up the occasional spot-start at the four spot.

Week 13 Deeper Leagues - Waiver Wire Pickups

Luke Kornet - PF/C, KNICKS (24% Ownership)

Kornet emerged on the fantasy radar to some degree after the Knicks matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks at the end of December, a game where he finished with 23 points and went 7-for-11 from deep. Since then, he is averaging 13 points, five boards and shooting 49 percent from behind the arc and has also been getting the starting nod over veteran center Enes Kanter. However, with Mitchell Robinson expected to return any day now from an ankle injury after missing the team's previous nine games, Kornet's playing time may take a hit. Keep an eye on this situation as his days in the starting rotation could be numbered.

Austin Rivers - PG/SG, ROCKETS (15% Ownership)

Rivers signed with the team around Christmas time and immediately was thrust into a pivotal role with a team that is sorely lacking depth. Things have even been worse for Houston as of late with the injuries to Chris Paul and Eric Gordon, who are both expected back soon, in addition to James Ennis, who is working his way back into the groove after being sidelined with a bum hamstring. Regardless, Rivers should retain a consistent role in the rotation even after Paul and Gordon return to help lighten the load for a starting unit that logs some of the heaviest minutes in the league.

Bismack Biyombo - PF/C, HORNETS (12% Ownership)

Biyombo, who hasn't seen much action this season, has found himself getting a significant usage bump after Cody Zeller went down with a hand injury that will keep him out of action for at least a month. Biyombo held his own against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets a few nights ago, finishing things up with 16 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks, and two steals across 30 minutes of action. With this type of production, he should retain a firm grasp on the starting spot over Willy Hernangomez, who has had a disappointing career in Charlotte thus far.

Kevin Huerter - SG, HAWKS (8% Ownership)

Huerter averaged 32 minutes in December, and as a result of the injuries to Taurean Prince and Kent Bazemore, that average has increased to 39 minutes over the last two outings. His shooting numbers have been shoddy, as evident by his 41 percent shooting from the field this season, but with only a few limited consistent options on the offensive end for the Hawks, he will get his points based on shot volume alone. Enjoy his uptick in production for the next week or so until Prince and/or Bazemore finds their way back into the rotation.

Gerald Green - SG/SF, ROCKETS (5% Ownership)

Just like Austin Rivers, Green has been getting in his minutes as of the result of the injuries to Chris Paul, Eric Gordon, and James Ennis. In his last two games, Green is averaging 14.5 points, one block and is shooting 52 percent from the field. However, unlike Rivers, who will likely retain a more consistent role in the rotation upon Gordon and Paul's return, Green will see his numbers decrease even more so.
