RotoBallers, welcome to Week 9 of the daily fantasy football season. In this column, you will find my recommended DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks to target for Week 9 of the NFL season.

The goal is to identify players to start on DraftKings this week based on various factors including the opponent, the player's opportunity, analysis of the game's matchups, and the DraftKings price.

Let's find some DFS lineup sleepers, and win on DraftKings. Good luck in Week 9!

DraftKings Quarterbacks - Week 9 DFS Picks

Drew Brees - NO vs TB (DK $7,000)

Brees has 15 DratKings points or more in five of his seven games this season, and is at home against Tampa Bay, who has the 30th DVOA overall, and the 31st DVOA against the pass. Simply put, Tampa Bay is terrible on defense, and you should look to target against them every week. Brees and the Saints are at home and they have an implied team total of 28.5 points, in a game with an over-under of 50, which is second highest on the slate. Over the past few seasons, we have seen Brees have noticeable home vs road splits, and being at home, this is the spot to roster him. He has multiple touchdown upside, and pairing him with a receiver is a great idea to double dip on some points.

Jared Goff - LAR @ NYG (DK $5,500)

If you are looking to save a bit of money at quarterback, take a look at Goff. He is up against the Giants, who have the 22nd DVOA against the run, and have just not bee playing well at all. The Rams are a 3.5 road favorite this week, so we should see a healthy mix of passing and running from them. Goff may not be a quarterback who is going to blow you away with yards and touchdowns, but for his price, he really on needs about 15 DraftKings points to pay off his value for cash games. Pairing him with Cooper Kupp might be the right call this Sunday, since the Giants have the 31st DVOA against WR2.

DraftKings Running Backs - Week 9 DFS Picks

Adrian Peterson - ARI @ SF (DK $5,600)

Peterson really isn't that expensive, and he is in a spot where he will see a ton of the workload. We know that Carson Palmer went out with an arm injury, so Drew Stanton will be stepping into the starting role. Even though Stanton has some experience starting, they may not rely on him too much when it comes to their offense. This is where Peterson could have a huge role, which is great for us DFS players. If he can replicate his performance from Week 6, he will crush value. In that week vs Tampa Bay, he had 26 carries for 134 yards and two touchdowns. If the Cardinals are gun shy to throw the ball with Stanton, then much of the work will be on AP.

Leonard Fournette - JAX vs CIN (DK $8,400)

Fournette is coming off a bye week, where he was able to fully rest up and get healthy after a minor knee issue. He was listed as a full participant during Wednesday's practice this week, so he will be back in the number one role. He has 24 or more DraftKings points in three straight games, and is up against the Bengals who have the 10th DVOA against the run. This may not be the most favorable match up for him, but with the change on offense the Jaguars are making, we know he will see the volume. He has 21 or more carries in three straight games, and you can clearly see, they want to take the ball out of Bortles hands and turn into a run first team.

DraftKings Wide Receivers - Week 9 DFS Picks

Devin Funchess - CAR vs ATL (DK $5,400)

With Kevin Benjamin being traded away this week, Funchess will move into the number 1 receiver role for the Panthers. This means he should be seeing and increased amount of targets, and since his price hasn't been adjusted for the change, this is the spot where you want to buy in early on him while you can. He has eight or more targets in three of the last four weeks, and only one touchdown over that span. He is a good candidate for some positive regression, now that he will be the primary receiver. He is up against Atlanta who has the 25th DVOA against the pass, making this a very favorable match up.

Corey Davis - TEN vs BAL (DK $4,400)

Davis has been out since Week 2 with a hamstring injury, and is set to return this Sunday. He has a tough match up against the Ravens, who have the 2nd DVOA against the pass, but if you are looking for a GPP flyer, this is the guy. The rookie has tons of talent, as we saw in Week 1, where he has six receptions for 69 yards. If the reports are true, he will be slotted into the number two receivers spot, and will take over Eric Decker's role. He is cheap on DraftKings, and brings plenty of salary flexibility.

DraftKings Tight End - Week 9 DFS Pick

Zach Ertz - PHI vs DEN (DK $6,800)

Ertz is the clear top option this week at tight end, not only from a price perspective, but also his match up. He is up against the Broncos, who have the 27th DVOA against tight ends. This puts him in a very favorable spot to continue to crush, as he has done all season long. Ertz has 13 DraftKings points or more in every game this season. Yes, he is one of the most consistent tight ends in DFS, you just have to find the salary to get up to his price.

DraftKings Defense - Week 9 DFS Pick

New Orleans Saints vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DK $3,400)

The Saints defense is much improved since the start of the season, and they now have the 16th DVOA overall, and the 4th DVOA against the pass. They are at home and against a struggling Tampa Bay team, who has lost four in a row, and their quarterback, Jameis Winston is dealing with an arm injury. The Bucs only put up three points last week, and now going on the road in a divisional match up, they are suspect for a bad game. The Saints defense is on the expensive end, and with six teams on bye, you have to find a way to get up to their price tag.
