DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/05/16): MLB DFS Advice

Raise your hand if you're sick of having to check the weather forecast before finalizing your DraftKings lineup. Unfortunately, that will continue today, as several games could be threatened by rain and stormy weather.

As for the games themselves, there isn't much in the way of aces on the mound today, but there are plenty of secondary pitching options to consider. For those of you who enjoy great pitching matchups, be sure to check out Matt Harvey versus Jose Fernandez. Several good games are on the schedule, including Detroit versus Chicago and Baltimore hosting the Yankees. The day culminates with a great National League battle between the Giants and the Cardinals.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/05/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Washington Nationals vs. John Moscot  (RHP)

Only one National, Ben Revere, has faced Moscot before, but even without history, the Nationals make for a good lineup stack. Moscot has struggled to the tune of a 7.13 ERA this season. Lefties Bryce Harper and Daniel Murray should definitely be considered for a stack. Also, Anthony Rendon and newcomer Trea Turner (if in the lineup) should be considered.

Seattle Mariners vs. Derek Holland (LHP)

The Seattle Mariners continue to be a popular lineup stack, especially when playing in a hitter-friendly ballpark. Today's matchup against Derek Holland in Arlington is a favorable one. Although the lefty has been better as of late, he is still capable of giving up a lot of runs -- refer to the 11earned runs he allowed to Toronto on May 5. Guys like Dae-Ho Lee, Nelson Cruz, and Franklin Gutierrez will all look to exploit the matchup versus the left-hander. Robinson Canoe has been hot lately and also makes for a good pick.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Jake Arrieta, CHC vs ARI - $12,900

Arrieta has yet to lose this year and will be looking to pick up win number 10 today. He's been virtually untouchable and has also gotten great run support from his teammates. Arizona has struggled to score, and Arrieta has been a beast. Aside from the high price tag, there's not much to dislike with Chicago's ace today.

Aaron Nola, PHI vs MIL  - $11,000

Nola has strung together eight consecutive quality starts with a total ERA of 2.88 for the season. His 4-4 record could be better if he'd be given more runs by his team. Today's matchup is a favorable one, as the Brewers do not present a very scary lineup to opposing pitchers. He's actually just 1-4 at home this season but will look to turn things around today. He's not the top option, but given the matchup, you could do worse.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Cameron Rupp, PHI vs. MIL - $3,000

Rupp was given the day off Saturday, so he should find himself in the starting lineup today. His price tag is cheap, yet he's averaging over six fantasy points a game. He had a monster game Friday, picking up a home run and a double and racking up 23 fantasy points. While that kind of production can't be expected every night, he's more than capable of providing great value. Rupp is 2-for-6 against today's starter, Wily Peralta, and is an excellent sleeper candidate behind the plate.

First Base (1B)

Logan Morrison, TB at MIN - $3,800

This one is all about value in order to afford some expensive pitchers. Today's opposing starter, Tyler Duffey, has been hit hard by lefties this season to the tune of .338, setting up a good matchup for the left-handed Logan Morrison. He's racked up double digits three times in his last six games, making him a sneaky value pick today.

Second Base (2B)

Ian Kinsler, DET vs. CHW - $4,500

Kinsler has been on fire lately, and despite a poor game Saturday, he's still one of the top second basemen in terms of fantasy points. He's got a .303 lifetime average off of Jose Quintana, making him a solid option at second base today.

Shortstop (SS)

Jurickson Profar, TEX vs. SEA - $3,200

The word was that Profar was going to be sent back to the minors, but his two-hit performance Friday night earned him a start Saturday. It seems that he will be sent down at some point, but his recent performances will make it a tough decision for the Rangers. If he does start again today he's a must-start. With four double-digit fantasy point performances in his last four games, he's an excellent value, especially considering his price of just over $3,000.

Third Base (3B)

Adonis Garcia, ATL at LAD - $2,700

This is another one to help you save some cap space. Garcia has seen his contact rate rise in the past week, but he's still hitting just over .233 for the season. Still, if you're looking for a cheap sleeper, Garcia is your guy. He won't hit for power, but a hit or two is all you'll need to get out of him in order make the selection worthwhile.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Franklin Gutierrez, SEA at TEX - $3,500

Gutierrez has been swinging a hot bat lately and gets a favorable matchup against left-hander Derek Holland today. His lifetime .208 average versus Holland will likely keep many fantasy players away. However, if you ride the hot hand, you'll get even more value by selecting him for tournaments. If you are participating in cash games, you many want to look at Hyun Soo Kim ($3,400), as a better option.

Mookie Betts, BOS vs. TOR - $5,300

Betts continues to be the top fantasy producer among outfielders. Hitting in the top spot of a very good Boston lineup, Betts brings great production to daily fantasy lineups. His hitless in his lifetime against Marco Estrada, but don't let that scare you away. If you're looking to spend money on a big bat, take Betts as one of your outfielders.

Matt Kemp, SD vs. COL - $4,000

Colorado's Jon Gray has been roughed up this season, entering with an ERA of 5.76. Matt Kemp, despite an average still below .250, has heated up as of late and has a .333 lifetime mark against Gray. Kemp often gets overlooked in tournaments, but his 14 homeruns still give him plenty of value in daily formats.
