Recent Update

4/19:Although he recorded a hit in tonight’s loss to the New York Mets, Phillies catcher Cameron Rupp has only managed six through his first 11 games of this 2017 major league season. The 28-year-old, who became the successor to longtime catcher Carlos Ruiz, is hitting .167 early on with just one home run. While his status as starting catcher on the club remains safe, Rupp’s performances haven’t provided his team and prospective fantasy baseball onlookers much hope for any value. Considering this will be his first season of extended starting time, growing pains could remain throughout.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller

  • @ryanlawrence21: @brianros1 eh, maybe in another week or two. i just think Joseph deserves a longer look here. Rupp has had a much longer MLB audition.

  • @ToddZolecki: It's the first time this season the Phillies have hit back-to-back homers. Last time: 9.22.2016 @ NYM (Howard and Rupp).
  • @ryanlawrence21: @MikeLacy_215 Tommy Joseph is young. Cameron Rupp is probably same age as Galvis.
  • @ToddZolecki: Cameron Rupp is 2-for-2 tonight. He is hitting .357 (5-for-14) with four doubles in his last five games.
  • @ToddZolecki: Cameron Rupp hopes a big fly ball gets him going and Freddy Galvis discusses his base running gaffe.… https://t.co/l0MpxyCepe
  • @ToddZolecki: A look at the Freddy Galvis pop up turned error. Only got to first, while Cameron Rupp got from first to third. https://t.co/LxTPEe6kYl
  • @ryanlawrence21: And now the Phillies are trailing 2-1. Eflin has walked two, allowed a hit, uncorked a wild pitch. (Rupp didn't help him with the WP, tho).
