Week 5 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 5:
Marvin Harrison Jr., Arizona Cardinals
Update - Harrison Jr. will be a healthy inactive as the team is finalizing a trade.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. caught his first touchdown pass of the season in last week's loss to the New York Giants. The 12-yard grab was also his sole reception on the day, giving him five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown through the first four games of 2026. Once the subject of discussions regarding who was the top wide receiver on Arizona's depth chart, Harrison has fallen far behind Michael Wilson, who has accumulated 30 targets over the last two weeks.
Harrison, meanwhile, has 13 all season. For fantasy teams sticking with Harrison, Week 5 is as good of a matchup as one could hope for in the Detroit Lions. The Lions' defense has been porous, giving up 31.8 points and 327 passing yards per game. Harrison projects as a WR3 in a forgiving matchup and can be plugged into starting lineups for Week 5.
Isaac TeSlaa, Detroit Lions
Across four games so far in 2026, Detroit Lions wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa has recorded nine catches for 187 yards on 17 targets. While TeSlaa's overall production may not leap off the page, he's coming off his best game of the season in Week 4, recording four catches for 95 yards on eight targets against the Carolina Panthers. As long as Lions wideouts Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams remain healthy, TeSlaa may struggle to see consistent target volume.
However, Detroit's defense has been one of the worst in the NFL this season, which has led to Lions quarterback Jared Goff averaging over 40 pass attempts per game. In Week 5, the Lions are set to take on an Arizona Cardinals defense that has allowed 11 touchdown receptions through four games and ranks dead last in the NFL in yards per pass attempt allowed (9.1).
If Detroit is forced into another pass-heavy game script, TeSlaa could end up being a worthwhile flex option in deeper fantasy leagues.
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson (ankle) "plans to play" and "wants to play" this Sunday in a Week 5 matchup on the road at the New Orleans Saints. Jefferson was held out of last week's win over the Miami Dolphins. He was limited in practice this week and is pushing to play as he returns to his hometown of New Orleans.
Fellow wideout Jordan Addison (hamstring) is also questionable, so quarterback Kyler Murray could be down two of his top wideouts on the road in a tough environment.
Fowler thinks both Jefferson and Addison could be game-time decisions on Sunday morning. It appears that Jefferson is trending in the right direction this weekend, but fantasy managers are going to have to come back this weekend for an update on his status. If Jefferson is active, he is an absolute must-start in all traditional fantasy football leagues.
The 27-year-old former LSU star would love nothing more than to return to his hometown and put on a show. In three games so far in 2026, Jefferson has caught just 13 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans
Tennessee Titans Running Back Tyjae Spears remained an afterthought in Week 4, with just three total touches against Baltimore and only 36% of snaps, tying his season low. Spears rushed twice for seven yards and caught his only target for a minus-one-yard gain, bringing him to just 15 carries and five receptions through four games. His role is unlikely to change in Week 5's matchup against the Houston Texans.
Unlike previous weeks, Spears is healthy and no longer carries an injury designation. However, Tony Pollard has almost completely overtaken him in snaps, opportunities, and production, making Spears hard to justify as a fantasy option. Houston has also been one of the tougher teams to run against, allowing just 3.4 yards per carry and 83.8 rushing yards per game.
Spears should remain on fantasy benches in Week 5 and is barely a valuable handcuff until his role increases significantly.
Rachaad White, Washington Commanders
Washington Commanders running back Rachaad White (shoulder) missed the team's Week 4 loss to the Colts and has been a limited practice participant to begin the week, but according to team senior writer Zach Selby, he has been cleared to play in a Week 5 divisional clash with the Giants. White has averaged 10.3 opportunities per game, but in his absence, veteran running back Austin Ekeler stepped in less than a week after signing with the team and handled six opportunities out of the gate.
With Jacory Croskey-Merritt still leading the backfield, the division of labor between White and Ekeler bears monitoring, though neither makes for a viable start in a game that could see fewer receiving opportunities than the pass-heavy script Washington was forced into a week ago in London.
