So far, players like Gage Jump and Payton Tolle have provided great value at the starting pitcher position for those who got ahead of their league mates and targeted them before earning a promotion.

In this piece, we will spotlight 10 prospects who have put themselves on the stash radar ahead of Week 14 of the fantasy season.

Should fantasy managers stash these breakout prospects? Let's dive in!

George Lombard Jr., SS, New York Yankees

New York Yankees shortstop prospect George Lombard Jr. (finger) was recently placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A with sprained fingers in his left hand. Prior to the injury, Lombard was showing strong signs of growth at the top club of the Yankee system and putting himself firmly on the stash radar. However, with him now on the injured list, his stash value has taken a significant hit.

When placed on the injured list, Yankee manager Aaron Boone noted that there were "good signs" from the initial testing, but the team has yet to provide a direct timetable for his recovery. Over his last 15 games before hitting the shelf, the team's top-ranked prospect was enjoying a surge at the plate, carrying a .321/.431/.642 line with eight doubles, three home runs, and two stolen bases. Managers in deeper leagues should pay close attention to his recovery.

Once he is cleared to begin baseball activities, he will carry high-end stash appeal, as he remains New York's long-term solution at shortstop for the second half.

Joshua Baez, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Joshua Baez has been among the top power hitters in the minor leagues over the month of June and has put himself on the doorstep of a promotion. Since June 1, the top outfield prospect in the St. Louis pipeline has launched 10 home runs over just 19 contests while holding a .329/.365/.803 line while chipping in an additional two stolen bases.

On the season, the No. 65-ranked prospect in baseball according to MLB.com has posted a .273/.343/.626 line with a strong 949 OPS. Even though the Cardinals recently saw Lars Nootbaar return from his lengthy stint on the IL and Nathan Church return to center field, Baez's elite production has put him in must-stash territory. If he maintains this pace, he should debut shortly after the All-Star break and hold high-end five-category potential as soon as he receives the big leagues.

Karson Milbrandt, SP, Miami Marlins

Miami Marlins starting pitching prospect Karson Milbrandt has seen his redraft fantasy stock increase substantially over the past few weeks. Milbrandt began the 2026 season in Double-A and was not on the stash radar, as he was behind both Robby Snelling and Thomas White in the system. However, with both of those pitchers now out for the remainder of the season, Milbrandt has a clear path to the MLB roster. After logging 47 innings to the tune of an elite 1.34 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and a 70:17 K:BB at Double-A, Milbrandt was quickly bumped up to Triple-A. At Jacksonville, Milbrandt has continued to produce, posting a 1.20 ERA with a high 1.27 WHIP over his first three starts.

While his command has been an issue at Triple-A, the 22-year-old has been able to limit the damage. While he will likely need a few more starts at Triple-A, Milbrandt has put himself in a great position to debut early in the second half of the season, making him a prime pitching prospect to stash in 12+ team leagues.

James Tibbs III, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers outfield prospect James Tibbs III is producing eye-popping numbers this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City. The outfielder has 20 homers and 64 RBI while hitting .291 with 66 runs scored. The 23-year-old is doing everything he can to prove that he is worthy of a call-up, but that is tough on a loaded Dodgers major league roster, competing with the likes of Andy PagesKyle TuckerAlex Call, and Ryan Ward in their current outfield.

Tibbs was a first-round pick of the San Francisco Giants in 2024 (No. 13 overall) and was moved to the Boston Red Sox in the trade that sent Rafael Devers to San Francisco. The Dodgers then acquired Tibbs in a trade with Boston, and he has put up very good numbers in the minor leagues since. He makes for a solid stash for fantasy managers in deep leagues that have five-outfielder spots, given the high-end power upside he has flashed at Triple-A. However, the crowded Dodger outfield does limit his appeal in shallower formats.

Zac Veen, OF, Colorado Rockies

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Zac Veen extended his hit streak to 24 games on Wednesday and has also reached base safely via hit or walk in 28 straight games now, a streak dating back to May 22. Since then, the Rockies' 13th-ranked prospect has hit .397 (46-for-116) with 14 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, and four stolen bases. The surge has left him with an outstanding .329/.416/.573 slash line for the season, with 11 home runs, 14 steals, and better-than-average walk (13.0 percent) and strikeout rates (20.4 percent).

The former first-rounder boasts plenty of power to hit for extra bases, with a max exit velocity this season of 113.4 mph (95th percentile), and together with his baserunning ability, has the makings of a potential multi-category contributor for fantasy. The 24-year-old debuted back in early 2025, but looks very ready for another shot in the majors now, which could come by the end of July. Managers should consider him a high-end stash option in deeper leagues for his multi-category potential.

Luis Lara, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Luis Lara continues to shine for Triple-A Nashville, recording an impressive four-hit game on Tuesday, and after going 1-for-2 with a pair of walks on Wednesday, the Brewers' fifth-ranked prospect is now slashing a robust .328/.439/.462 with seven home runs and 20 steals. On the downside, the 5-foot-7 Venezuelan's eye-opening power surge to begin the season has fizzled out, having not hit a home run since May 6, which is a 36-game stretch now without one, and he's been stuck on 20 steals since June 10 after he's come up empty in his last three stolen base attempts.

Nevertheless, the switch-hitter is showing an advanced approach, striking out at just a 13.7 percent rate (88th percentile) and walking at a rate higher than that of 14.7 percent (79th percentile). The team has shown confidence in the 21-year-old, recently rewarding him with a seven-year, $31 million contract, so expect to see him in the majors in the coming weeks. Don't expect much power, but with the ability to hit for average, draw walks, steal plenty of bases, and score runs, Lara makes for a solid stash in most 12-team leagues.

Seaver King, SS, Washington Nationals

Washington Nationals shortstop prospect Seaver King was recently promoted to Triple-A and is now firmly on the stash radar. King, the team's 6th-ranked prospect (and No. 99 in the sport) according to MLB.com, began the 2026 season with Double-A, where he posted a stellar .336/.427/.562 line over 35 contests. During this short stint, King hit five home runs and swiped five bags while holding a 31:22 K:BB.

This prompted a promotion to Triple-A Rochester, where King has continued to look sharp, holding a similar .296/.344/.487 line with five doubles and three home runs. Even though the Washington infield is crowded at the moment, if King maintains this pace, he should join them in the second half. For now, the former 10th overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft is a worthy stash target in deep 12+ team leagues, but his value should continue to rise over the coming weeks.

- Written by Andy Smith

Ryan Waldschmidt, OF, Arizona Diamondbacks

Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Ryan Waldschmidt got a chance to prove what he can do in the major leagues this season. He recorded eight RBI and stole five bases, but did not hit a homer in 112 major league at-bats this season and was recently sent down to Triple-A Reno. Waldschmidt has shown a consistent bat at Reno with a .302 batting average, six home runs, and 27 RBI in 159 at-bats at the Triple-A level this season.

Since returning to Triple-A this month, Waldschmidt has been even more impressive, going 11-for-31 with three long balls. The No. 31 overall pick in 2024, Waldschmidt has a solid prospect profile and has shown he could be a stolen-base threat at the major league level.

If he can bring some of that consistent hitting to the Diamondbacks, he could be a solid pickup for fantasy managers in the second half. For now, Waldschmidt is worth monitoring in deep leagues for that reason, as he possesses the skill set to be a fantasy contributor during his second MLB stint.

- Written by Brian Buckey

Jett Williams, INF, Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers infield/outfield prospect Jett Williams continues to scuffle at Triple-A, but has provided glimpses of what's possible over the last three games. The Brewers' third-ranked prospect has shown some power after cracking a double in Wednesday's contest, he's stolen three bases, scored five runs, and posted a 3:5 BB:K over that three-game span. He even had a two-homer game as recently as June 16. Unfortunately, he's hitting just .163 in 26 games since May 22 with an elevated 25.6 percent strikeout rate, so he'll need to turn it around if the team is going to consider him for a call-up to the majors.

The former first-rounder hit 17 home runs and stole 34 bases a season ago, so there is a lot to like about his fantasy potential, and his positional versatility should offer multiple paths to playing time, but fantasy managers will likely have to wait until sometime in the second half before the 22-year-old makes his big league debut. As such, the right-handed hitter doesn't warrant stash consideration in most leagues at the moment.

- Written by Jarod Rupp

Hagen Smith, SP, Chicago White Sox

Chicago White Sox top pitching prospect Hagen Smith appeared to be on the doorstep of the major leagues before suffering a shoulder impingement. Prior to this injury, Smith was showcasing high-end upside at the Triple-A level and was even mentioned as a potential name to watch as the team needed additional pitching depth. However, this injury pushed the former fifth overall pick to the 7-day injured list.

However, the team has expressed optimism regarding the injury, and he may not be sidelined for much longer. While Smith had a slow start to the Triple-A regular season, he quickly found his footing. From May 27 through June 7, he posted a sharp 2.37 ERA with a 32:7 K:BB, which was a stark improvement compared to the 4.54 ERA he held over the first 33 2/3 innings. While he will likely not be in the mix to join Chicago until after the All-Star break, managers in deeper leagues should keep a close eye on his status once he embarks on a rehab assignment.
