Should fantasy managers stash these breakout prospects? Let's dive in!

Kaelen Culpepper, INF, Minnesota Twins

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper has continued to showcase high upside at Triple-A St. Paul and enters Week 10 as the primary hitting prospect to stash. Culpepper spent his 2025 season splitting time between High-A and Double-A, which earned him a ticket to the top cub to open the 2026 campaign. However, despite not taking a single Triple-A at-bat prior to the 2026 campaign, Culpepper has done more than hold his own, posting a .246/.349/.462 line with an .811 OPS over his first 48 contests.

During this stretch, Culpepper has tallied nine doubles, gone deep 11 times, and swiped 12 bags. Currently, the Twins have lacked much consistent production in parts of their infield, especially at the shortstop position. Given how comfortable Culpepper has looked at the top club, fantasy managers should expect the Twins to call his name in the immediate future. His five-category potential makes him a must-stash candidate in all formats.

River Ryan, SP, Los Angeles Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitching prospect River Ryan turned in another stellar effort at Triple-A Oklahoma City and is on the verge of joining the MLB roster. On Thursday evening, Ryan turned in his best showing of the campaign, tossing a season-high six frames with one run (unearned run) with only four hits, no walks, and a season-high eight punchouts.

Since returning from the 7-day injured list, Ryan has made three starts and logged 15 innings with a 0.80 ERA, 0.60 WHIP, and a 19:1 K:BB. With both Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow on the injured list on the MLB roster, Ryan could provide some much-needed depth to this pitching staff. Given his current production and clear path to a role, Ryan should be viewed as the top pitching prospect to stash in all formats.

Max Clark, OF, Detroit Tigers

Detroit Tigers outfield prospect Max Clark remains firmly on the stash radar after hitting safely in 12 of his last 14 games at Triple-A Toledo, going 16-for-60 (.267) during that stretch with four doubles, a triple, one home run, and two stolen bases. The Tigers' top-ranked prospect owns a respectable .267/.338/.390 slash line in 46 games for the Mud Hens, with two home runs and 11 steals, while his 14.8 percent strikeout rate shows he's not overmatched at the top level of the minors.

The left-handed slugger is also drawing walks at a 9.5 percent rate thanks to a 77th percentile chase rate, displaying a good all-around approach. Although the organization is in no rush to get him to the majors, the former third-overall draft pick should get that chance in the coming weeks and should be considered a high-end stash option for his multi-category fantasy potential.

Braden Montgomery, OF, Chicago White Sox

Chicago White Sox top hitting prospect Braden Montgomery has hit a bit of a skid at the top club in the minor leagues over the past week. After putting together a dominant start to his time at Triple-A, the former first-round pick has gone 0-for-13 over his last five games while holding a 7:3 K:BB. However, prior to this, Montgomery carried a much higher .283/.348/.467 slash line with five doubles, two home runs, and one stolen base over his first taste of Triple-A earlier in May.

Montgomery began the regular season with Double-A, but needed only another 27 gams at that level to prove he was ready to join the top ranks. If Montgomery can snap out of this skid in the immediate future, the young slugger should firmly be back on the stash radar, given Chicago's lack of depth in the outfield.

Joshua Baez, OF, St. Louis Cardinals

St. Louis Cardinals outfield prospect Joshua Baez continued his power display at Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday, belting two home runs in a 4-for-6 effort, giving him six home runs in his last 12 games and 13 on the season. The Cards' third-ranked prospect is still striking out way too much with a 33.0 percent K%, which has limited him to a .247 average, but an 8.0 percent BB% shows the 6-foot-3 slugger has a decent eye at the plate, too.

Once on base, the former second-round draft pick uses his wheels, swiping 11 bags so far this season after a 54-steal campaign in 2025. His combination of power and speed is what makes him intriguing for fantasy, and with the power surge he has been on, an MLB debut could be just around the corner. The 22-year-old is a top hitter to stash for home runs and stolen bases, just know that he may not offer much in the way of batting average when he gets to the majors.

Jett Williams, INF, Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee Brewers infield/outfield prospect Jett Williams has hit safely in nine of his last 12 games, going 13-for-45 (.289) over that stretch with three doubles, two triples, and two home runs, upping his season-long slash line to .247/.411/.578. The Brewers' third-ranked prospect also has 11 steals for Triple-A Nashville and is boasting a 14.0 percent walk rate (21.6 percent strikeout rate) through 49 games.

The former first-round draft pick could be nearing an MLB debut, and with his skillset, along with positional versatility (eligible at 2B, SS, OF on Yahoo!), the 22-year-old should be considered a top hitter to stash for his multi-category contribution potential.
