Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups - Top Fantasy Football WR Adds for Week 17 are Isaac TeSlaa, Konata Mumpfield, Adonai Mitchell, Mack Hollins, Chimere Dike, Olamide Zaccheaus, more

Isaac TeSlaa - Fantasy Football Rankings, Waiver Wire Pickups, Draft Sleepers

Alex's fantasy football WR waiver wire pickups for Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season. Free agent wide receivers to add, stream, and stash off waivers.

What's up, RotoBallers, and welcome to 2025's final edition of wide receiver waiver wire pickups. Wow. As has been the case all year, this week was not short of trials, tribulations, and "what the heck" moments. After watching Pittsburgh's DK Metcalf take a swing at a fan in the stands, I'm surprised we don't see instances like that occur more often.

In all seriousness, when I took over this article at the beginning of the season, I got a good kick out of 2024's final list of WR recommendations. Seeing names like Robert Woods, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Parker Washington gave me a good giggle. Fast forward, and, well -- the more things change, the more they stay the same, am I right?

On that note, let's cut to the chase and dive into our waiver adds for the week ahead, all available in more than half of leagues, and organized in descending order of importance. As always, consider your league's scoring settings, as this article assumes PPR formats, and don't forget to check out RotoBaller's other features for your fantasy championship needs. Happy hunting!

Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

Adonai Mitchell, New York Jets - 19% rostered

Brady Cook's output in New York's 29-6 loss to the hosting Saints was less encouraging than his performance the week prior. Still, Adonai Mitchell is worth recommending here, considering the strong role he's carved out since joining the team.

Mitchell pulled in 3-of-6 looks in New York's defeat, churning out at least 4o yards (43) for the fourth time in his Jets' tenure. More impressively, he's commanded at least six passes in six straight games, leading New York in targets in five of them.

The University of Texas product is indeed a legitimate weekly boom-bust asset. That said, he seems to have ascended to the Jets' WR1 in the absence of teammate Garrett Wilson (knee).

With Wilson done for the remainder of the campaign, Mitchell is a nice flyer for owners in need of wide receiver help in the championship. If you can stomach the lower floor, the upside is excellent.

Konata Mumpfield, Los Angeles Rams - 0% rostered

The Rams and the Seahawks might as well have been a fireworks show on Thursday Night Football, with the latter taking the shootout 39-38 in a thrilling fifth period of play. I was correct in suggesting a Rams' WR for Week 16's feature, but incorrectly assumed that Tutu Atwell would see an increased workload following a lengthy layoff.

As it stands, it would appear that Atwell has fallen out of favor in LA's passing game hierarchy, as he placed fifth in playing time for their outing with Seattle. Instead, Konata Mumpfield operated as the second option behind superstar teammate Puka Nacua, and it wasn't really close. Mumpfield recorded 46% (42) of the team's snaps on Thursday and was targeted eight times in the loss (three catches for 40 yards). Aside from Nacua, no other wideout eclipsed two targets or 22 plays.

There's still uncertainty surrounding Davante Adams' (hamstring) status for the remainder of the regular season, as he's been deemed week-to-week with a soft tissue issue. If he misses more time, Mumpfield should again slot in as his replacement.

The 23-year-old holds a decent standing in the Rams' receiving corps and presents with solid upside tied to a locked-in Matthew Stafford.

Mack Hollins, New England Patriots - 3% rostered

Mack Hollins has appeared here on several occasions during the 2025 campaign. It hasn't always shown up in the box score, but the veteran has played the most snaps of any New England wideout by a fair margin, registering 610 of such heading into Sunday night's 28-24 win over Baltimore -- 80 more than the next closest player.

Ironically, Hollins ranks third on the Pats' depth chart behind Kayshon Boutte and Stefon Diggs, but has out-snapped his teammates in each appearance since Week 9, even when the trio is all active and at full health. In Week 16, he amassed 69 yards on 7-of-9 receiving -- all good for second best on the team (Diggs).

Accounting for Sunday's outing, the ninth-year pro has been much more consistently incorporated into the game plan than earlier in the campaign, notching at least five targets in five of six games. Moreover, this was the first time all year he'd seen at least eight opportunities in consecutive appearances.

I'll make it clear, we're not chasing Hollins for his ceiling, which is perpetually capped while he shares the field with Boutte and Diggs. However, he's a solid low-end PPR play that shouldn't hurt you too badly, especially in a Week 17 meeting with an exploitable Jets' defense. Managers can rely on him for a safe floor in the fantasy championship if necessary.

Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars - 23% rostered

Truthfully, I didn't think we'd be talking about Parker Washington again in 2025. Brian Thomas Jr.'s reinsertion in the lineup and Jakobi Meyers' ascension seemed to spell a tertiary role for the Texas native, but that wasn't the case in their convincing 34-20 road win against the Broncos.

Instead of fading into the background, Washington led the team in each significant receiving category on the afternoon, compiling 145 yards and a touchdown across his six catches (10 targets). The yardage total was a personal best, and the speedy wideout's fourth touchdown of the campaign is a new high-water mark.

While the former Penn State Nittany Lion has taken somewhat of a back seat to Thomas and Meyers, both fully healthy and integrated into the offense, he'll apparently still be considerably involved.

There probably won't be too many more breakout games like this, but Washington is worthy of a fill-in, particularly with Trevor Lawrence playing the best football of his career.

Olamide Zaccheaus, Chicago Bears - 2% rostered

Chicago won a stunner at home on Saturday night, icing out the Packers in overtime 22-16 in a wild one. Injuries played a significant role, but the Bears' defense is opportunistic and shouldn't be overlooked. Speaking of injuries, Olamide Zaccheaus saw a nice uptick in work because of them.

Zaccheaus drew just five targets in the win, but notably played behind only DJ Moore, with teammates Rome Odunze (foot) and Luther Burden III (ankle) out with their respective ailments. Moreover, he and Moore were the only wideouts to log more than 17 snaps, each accounting for 86% or more of the plays.

I'll admit, a two-catch 33-yard performance isn't much to get excited about, but for receivers, typically opportunity reigns supreme when projecting for fantasy. For what it's worth, neither Odunze nor Burden practiced at all ahead of Saturday's contest. If I had to speculate, I'd say the latter probably has a better shot at being active in Week 17, though that's no guarantee.

It should be known that Burden is the preferred waiver add if he's healthy enough to go next weekend. If the aforementioned duo is out again, though, fantasy managers can fire up the former undrafted free agent in a softer matchup against the 49ers, particularly with tight end Cole Kmet playing a minimal role.

Zacchaeus' floor should be solid if both running mates remain unavailable.

Deeper Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Pickups

Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans - 15% rostered

First-year pro Cameron Ward had one of his better outings of the season in Week 16's 26-9 win over a beat-up Chiefs' squad. To say Ward has been up and down is an understatement. Regardless of the outcome, Chimere Dike has remained steadily involved.

The 24-year-old's receiving yardage totals have been anything but gaudy, although he's notched at least five targets and three receptions in four of his last five outings after a 3/40/1 line on Sunday afternoon. It was Dike's fourth score through the air in 2025, and sixth total touchdown, including his stellar work on special teams.

He is now just the third rookie in franchise history to score at least six touchdowns, joining A.J. Brown and Chris Johnson in their debut seasons.

As a disclaimer, it feels like each instance I've highlighted Dike this season, he's promptly turned in an unideal performance the week after, so maybe if I put it out in the universe, the reverse-jinx rules apply?

All joking aside, he's been more helpful than not since a mini-breakout in Week 7, and currently leads all Tennessee wideouts with 41 receptions. Furthermore, the rookie has been heavily utilized in the red area, racking up a staggering 14 opportunities through Week 15 inside the opposition's 20-yard line. The next closest Tennessee skill player had six (Elic Ayomanor).

Isaac TeSlaa, Detroit Lions - 6% rostered

Isaac TeSlaa was nearly mentioned in last Monday's edition of this column, but I didn't have the stomach to do so despite him scoring in back-to-back outings. Well, he found pay dirt again in Week 16 and was the most involved in the offense he has been. Surprisingly, that came to pass with Detroit's full complement of wideouts suiting up.

The third-round pick of April's draft saw strong usage in Sunday's 29-24 defeat at the hands of the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers, corraling four of his seven pass attempts for 54 yards and a TD -- his fifth score of 2025 -- and nearly registered his first multi-touchdown effort.

The yardage, reception, and target figures were all career-highs. Perhaps more importantly, he continued playing ahead of veteran Kalif Raymond by a wide margin.

TeSlaa saw increased playing time starting in Week 12, as several teammates were inactive due to injury, including Raymond. However, even in Raymond's second game back, the former doubled him up in snaps, seemingly cementing himself as the third option in Detroit's pass attack.

Owners who make a claim for the rookie should temper expectations, as I believe the Lions will get their ground game going again in Week 17's clash with Minnesota. Regardless, TeSlaa seems to be quarterback Jared Goff's favorite target when they get near the goal line. All it takes is one play.

Tre' Harris, Los Angeles Chargers - 2% rostered

In a pleasant turn of events, Tre' Harris wasn't completely phased out of the offense with the return of fellow wideout Quentin Johnston in LA's 34-17 trouncing of the Cowboys. In fact, the Ole Miss alum ranked second in catches (four), yards (54), and targets (five), despite the team's WR room being at full strength.

Harris' production in Week 16 may not leave fantasy managers salivating. However, it's noteworthy that he lagged behind the rest of his positional cohorts -- Ladd McConkey (75%), Johnston (57%), and Keenan Allen (47%) -- with just a 45% snap share. That figure mostly mirrors what he's done all season, but this was the first time he was this involved.

I'll stand by what I said a week ago -- the 23-year-old is a better bet in dynasty than for the remainder of this redraft period. With that in mind, Allen has seen his time on the field steadily decline since Week 11, correlating with the rookie's increased involvement.

Harris' talent is excellent and is worth a speculative add ahead of a clash with the Texans in Week 17.
