Should I drop Tyrone Tracy Jr. for fantasy football Week 5? Is Tyrone Tracy Jr. a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. was one of Week 4's biggest fantasy football losers, and he didn't even play in a football game.
Once the second-year running back injured his shoulder early in Week 3, the writing was on the wall. The New York Giants backfield no longer belongs to him.
Let's dive into Tracy's value heading into Week 5 and what waiver wire options are worth grabbing if you're moving on.

Should I Drop Tyrone Tracy Jr. in Fantasy Football?
Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) will reportedly miss multiple games after dislocating his shoulder against the Kansas City Chiefs. He's one game into his extended absence, and it appears he won't have a job when he gets back.
Rookie fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo was already eating into Tracy's touches when both running backs were healthy in Week 2. When Tracy departed Week 3, Skattebo tallied 121 total yards on 16 touches, with a touchdown to boot. Week 4 was more in his favor, with veteran Devin Singletary subbing in for a handful of carries. Skattebo finished with 27 touches.

The Giants won't be playing with a lead often, as they were on Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers, so don't expect that kind of volume every week from Skattebo. However, he and fellow rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart are forming the future of the football team. As losses continue to pile up, Giants brass will be even more motivated to stick with the young guys.
Tracy was a shaky bet in fantasy football drafts this offseason. As a converted wide receiver and former fifth-round pick, there wasn't enough of an investment in him as a lead running back. He'll slide into a role better suited for him as a change-of-pace runner.
Who Should I Pick Up for Fantasy Football?
Woody Marks is the belle of the ball this week, if a savvy fantasy manager didn't previously stash him. The rookie outsnapped and out-touched veteran Nick Chubb for the first time in Houston's backfield in Week 4, scoring twice and totaling 119 yards.

Sean Tucker and Rachaad White (if available) could split backfield touches if Bucky Irving misses time. He's undergoing an MRI on his ankle. Tucker made the most of his opportunity last year, racking up 192 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints in Week 6.
Kenneth Gainwell dominated a good Minnesota defense in front of Ireland's biggest fans. The Steelers are on a bye this week, so we likely won't get an update on Jaylen Warren's knee injury. Gainwell is worth stashing over Tracy in case he picks up another start on the other side of the rest week.
Then, there are the high-profile insurance running backs: Kendre Miller, Rico Dowdle, Blake Corum, and Tyler Allgeier. Tracy falls into this category now, and since the other running backs are healthy, I'd rather roster them now than the new Giants backup.
