Brandon Woodruff Goes on 15-Day Injured List With Lat Strain
Brandon Woodruff (lat) on the 15-day injured list with a lat strain and recalled southpaw Robert Gasser from Triple-A Nashville. Woodruff went on the IL retroactive to Sept. 18, meaning he'll be eligible to pitch when the playoff-bound Brewers open the NLDS on Oct. 4. It's unclear, however, whether Woodruff will be ready by then. We do know that Woodruff's regular season is over after he went 7-2 with a 3.20 ERA, a .91 WHIP, 83 strikeouts, and 14 walks over 12 starts and 64 2/3 innings. After missing all of 2024 with shoulder problems, the 32-year-old has once again looked like a front-line starter this season. The Brewers are left to hope he'll be available in October.
