Michael McGreevy Throws Six Shutout Innings on Tuesday
Michael McGreevy allowed only two hits while striking out five in six scoreless innings as he picked up the win on Tuesday against Triple-A Nashville. McGreevy picked up his eighth win of the season which is tied for the most among pitchers in Triple-A. The 24-year-old was in total control in this outing, throwing 55 of 81 pitches for strikes while also generating 12 whiffs on 41 swings. The right-hander has been dominant all season at Triple-A with a 2.28 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 69:12 K:BB in 67 innings. He has made a handful of starts at the major league level and has been respectable, owning a 3.37 FIP over 21.1 innings. There isn't a clear spot for him in the rotation as of now, but that can always change. He would be a solid deep league or NL-only add when he returns to the majors.
