ANALYSIS: On Thursday evening, the Angels announced they were promoting their top-ranked prospect, infielder Christian Moore, to the major leagues. Moore was selected with the eighth pick in last year's draft out of Tennessee.

Moore wasted little time making an impact as he made his Double-A debut shortly after the draft. During his first stint in Double-A, Moore posted a stellar .322/.378/.533 line with four doubles and five home runs in 23 games.

He then opened the 2025 campaign with Double-A but took a step back, posting a lower .665 OPS through 34 games. However, the Angels opted to move the No. 59-ranked prospect in baseball up to Triple-A Salt Lake after his second look. At Triple-A, Moore flipped the script, launching four home runs and adding four doubles across 20 games before earning the call to the majors.

With Los Angeles, Moore should have an everyday role at second base. On Friday evening, Moore made first first career start and covered the keystone.

While he has struggled to maintain his strikeout rate, Moore carries elite raw power that is worth adding in all standard leagues.
