We're now over a third of the way through the Major League Baseball season, and we kicked off the month of June with a bang as the news broke of Jac Caglianone's promotion on Sunday night.

Caglianone joins Cole Young, Jacob Melton, Shay Whitcomb, and Coby Mayo as promotions over the last several days. We still have a ton of exciting prospects on the cusp as well.

These prospect rankings are for 2025 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects who could potentially make a fantasy baseball impact in 2025 redraft leagues. Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Jac Caglianone, Kansas City Royals

It's Caglianone time, baby! After mashing his way into our hearts, Caglianone will now hopefully be mashing home runs for our fantasy teams as the Kansas City Royals are calling the former Florida Gator up for his MLB debut on Tuesday.

No prospect in baseball has a higher power tool grade than Jac Caglianone 💪

In 50 games between Double-A and Triple-A, Caglianone slashed .322/.389/.593 with nine doubles and 15 home runs, most of which were mammoth shots. Saying Caglianone has elite raw power is selling him short, as I believe he has one of the five highest power ceilings in all of baseball, and he showed that in Triple-A with a 57.5% hard-hit rate and a 17.5% barrel rate.

While he does chase too much, and that could become an issue in the majors, Caglianone posted a solid 10.5% walk rate, 20.1% strikeout rate, and a 76% contact rate this season in the minors. Even if the average is a bit lower due to the chase issues, I'd be shocked if the power didn't immediately translate.

Needless to say, he needs to be immediately added in all leagues where he's still available.

Mick Abel, Philadelphia Phillies

With Taijuan Walker moving to the bullpen, Mick Abel is being recalled to start for the Phillies on Thursday in Toronto. It sounds like he could stick in the rotation as well, at least until Aaron Nola (ankle) is ready to come off the IL.

Abel tossed six shutout innings with nine strikeouts in his major league debut last month, but it was only a spot start. In Triple-A, Abel has enjoyed a resurgent bounceback season with a 2.21 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and a 28% strikeout rate in 10 starts.

The walk rate is still on the higher end at 10.9%, but that's a notable improvement from Abel's 15.1% mark in 2024. With a mid to upper-90s heater and sinker along with two good breaking balls, the upside has always been high with Abel, and he's worth targeting for Thursday's outing and beyond.

Roman Anthony, Boston Red Sox

Another week without a Roman Anthony callup. The consensus top prospect in baseball is slashing .303/.430/.492 with nine doubles, eight home runs, and three steals in 53 games for Triple-A Worcester. He's also walked nearly as much as he's struck out with a 49:45 K:BB to pair with his elite 94.8 mph AVG EV, 58.1% hard-hit rate, and 20.3% barrel rate.

So when the heck is he going to be up? That's the million-dollar question, but I'm going to predict next Monday for his debut with the promotion news breaking Sunday night.

The Red Sox face two lefties in their series with the Angels this week before a road series against the Yankees. So, it would make more sense for Boston to have Anthony debut next Monday against the Tampa Bay Rays and their right-handed pitchers. But it's all speculation at this point.

Jordan Lawlar, Arizona Diamondbacks

Welcome back to the stash list, Jordan Lawlar. I'm sure he's not excited to be back, but that's what happens when you go hitless in 22 plate appearances spread across sporadic playing time. There's simply no everyday lineup spot for Lawlar right now, and probably won't be until an injury pops up for Arizona.

It also didn't help that Lawlar was chewed up and spit out against breaking balls. That's putting it nicely, too. Lawlar faced breaking balls 46.5% of the time in his brief Major League stint and whiffed at an alarming 52.2% clip. At this point, I wouldn't be holding or stashing him outside of deeper formats, as I'm expecting Arizona to give him time in Triple-A to work on this issue before they bring him back up.

Brady House, Washington Nationals

I'm really starting to think that Brady House is up before the end of June. He's been hitting well in Triple-A this season, and especially over the last 30 days, where he has a .301/.348/.534 slash line with nine doubles and five home runs in 112 plate appearances. For the season, House is slashing .292/.350/.509 with 10 home runs in 234 plate appearances.

House has been showcasing above-average quality of contact metrics in Triple-A this season with a 90.9 mph AVG EV, 46.7% hard-hit rate, and a 10.5% barrel rate. However, his contact rate is down around 70%, with a zone contact a hair below 80%. Those aren't terrible metrics, but they probably limit House in the AVG department for a bit.

House could still wind up as a .250/25 type, though, and the Nationals aren't getting any impact from Jose Tena, who is currently slashing .254/.321/.381 with zero home runs and a 97 wRC+ in 131 plate appearances this season.
