MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/23/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Ketel Marte - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on September 23, 2024. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS sleepers picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's a lighter Monday night in the MLB universe with the season winding down. There are two NFL games tonight, so it makes sense. That's why it also makes sense to keep grinding MLB. There are larger contests and payouts in the NFL games. Most people have forgotten about MLB. We have four games tonight. Let's get to it!

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on Monday, September 23, 2024, with the slate starting at 6:40 p.m. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bryce Miller at HOU ($8.4K DraftKings; $9.7K FanDuel)

The Cubs are lighting up righties, so I'll pass over Aaron Nola for Miller. Miller hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start in three months.

Miller added the knuckle curve to his arsenal on June 29 and has dominated since. Houston has the second-lowest strikeout rate against RHP in the last month, but the rest of the metrics are pedestrian at best. Miller doesn't have the strikeout upside of the more costly pitchers, but he is easily the safest option on a small slate.

Chris Bassitt vs. BOS ($8K DraftKings; $9K FanDuel)

I'm not going too cheap with SP2 tonight. I would rather pay for two in the middle of the pack, especially since Boston is striking out at a 27.4% clip against RHP in the last month. On top of that, they have a sad 70 wRC+ (only the White Sox are worse) in that span. Bassitt has the potential for one of his best games of 2024.

Also consider: Hunter Brown vs. SEA, Tanner Houck at TOR

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ketel Marte – 2B, ARI vs. Hayden Birdsong ($6K DK; $4.3K FD)

Marte is coming off of a series in which he went 7-for-14 against the Brewers with three homers, six RBI, five runs scored, and a stolen base (not to mention the six walks). Birdsong only lasted three innings against Arizona back on September 4. Marte should get a couple of good cracks at him while he's in there.

Trevor Story – SS, BOS vs. Chris Bassitt ($3.4K DK; $2.9K FD)

Story is more speed than power in 2024, but he is still getting on base consistently. He has multi-hit or multi-walk games in five of his last eight contests, with a homer and a pair of steals. We're spending money on pitching tonight, so we need a couple of bargains in the infield, especially if we want some Houston outfielders (and we do).

Justin Turner – 1B, SEA vs. Hunter Brown ($2.9K DK; $2.8K FD)

Turner is doing everything in his power to propel the Mariners to the playoffs. Turner has at least one hit in nine of his last 10 games, with two homers and four RBI in that span.

Also consider: Bryce Harper, Eugenio Suarez, Dansby Swanson

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Tucker – OF, HOU vs. Bryce Miller ($5.8K DK, $4.2K FD)

Tucker only walked twice and scored yesterday, so clearly he has cooled off. Well...10 hits in the last five games (with six walks) suggests otherwise. Miller is still my favorite pitcher on the slate, but Tucker is probably going to get him once. On a small slate like this, you can leverage the field by using both players.

Julio Rodriguez – OF, SEA vs. Hunter Brown ($4.1K DK; $3.7K FD)

Like Justin Turner, Rodriguez is getting hot at the right time. Julio is hitting .426 with five homers, 14 RBI, nine runs scored, and two steals in the last 10 games alone! He has three four-hit games in that span. Rodriguez provides the best ceiling of any hitter out there right now.

Pavin Smith – OF, ARI vs. Hayden Birdsong ($3.6K DK; 2.9K FD)

Smith has remained productive with a .324 average, a homer, a steal, six runs scored, six walks, and six RBI in the last 10 games. He's a cheap way to get a piece of the best offense on the slate tonight.

Also consider: Kyle Schwarber, Cody Bellinger, Victor Robles

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Diamondbacks vs. Hayden Birdsong

2. Phillies vs. Hayden Wesneski

3. Giants vs. Eduardo Rodriguez
