Ja'Marr Chase's Latest Injury Update
Chase, who has reportedly been in a lot of pain the last several days, said he is mentally preparing to play Week 10 at home against Houston.
A recent MRI indicated no structural damage. Chase is suffering from a severe bruise.
Is Ja'Marr Chase Playing In Week 10?
In the Week 9 matchup against Buffalo, Ja'Marr Chase caught four of eight targets for 41 yards. Through eight games this season the former LSU wideout has 64 receptions, 697 yards, and four touchdowns.
All signs point toward Chase playing on Sunday. He practiced two days in a row to end the week and appears to be doing all he can to be on the field in Week 10.
If he does play, he will be going up against a Houston defense that is allowing an average of 238 passing yards per game, which is ninth most in the NFL.
Should I Start Tyler Boyd for Fantasy Football Week 10?
Despite the fact Boyd has only amassed 300 yards and two touchdowns through eight games this season, he has had a consistent role in the Bengals offense. In Week 9 against Buffalo, the wideout caught three of five targets for 56 yards.
Boyd has an extremely stable floor, prior to the Week 8 game in San Francisco, he had a string of five straight games where he saw at least seven targets. With Tee Higgins out, Boyd should see an increased snap count and increased target share.
He also gets a favorable matchup. His Week 10 opponent, the Houston Texans, has allowed an average of 243.5 yards against at home this season. Consider Boyd a WR5 this week.
