We have another action-packed prime-time slate for Week 4 of the 2023 season. We have another playoff game in South Bend, the Battle for the Boot in Red Stick, and the Pac-2 Championship from Pullman. Not bad for a seven-game slate, huh?
We also have Texas heading up I-35 to Waco to take on Baylor. Iowa heads to Penn State for what should be a defensive battle in white-out conditions. The Tarheels head up to Pitt. We end this out with Central Florida's Big 12(14) debut in the Little Apple.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/23/23, locking at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Jayden Daniels, LSU ($9,500)
After seeing what Daniels did to Mississippi State in StarkVegas, I don't know that this Arkansas defense scares me. BYU moved the ball down the field without much of a run game and they padded their stats against inferior opponents. Daniels still put up strong numbers in the loss to Florida State, so his floor is higher than most ceilings on this slate. Pay up. You'll be glad you did.
Quinn Ewers, Texas ($7,500)
This feels like an oversight. The Baylor pass defense hasn't been great and Ewers hasn't committed a turnover in three games. He has eight passing touchdowns even though the 740 yards is a pedestrian total. It's entirely possible that the three teams he has played so far (Rice, Alabama, Wyoming) all have better defenses than Baylor. I'll buy in at this price.
Also consider: Drake Maye, North Carolina ($9,800); Sam Hartman, Notre Dame ($8,500); Timmy McClain, Central Florida ($7,200); KJ Jefferson, Arkansas ($7,100)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Damien Martinez, Oregon State ($6,700)
Martinez has cleared 100 rushing yards in every game so far this season, including the solid defenses of San Jose State and San Diego State. He has only found the end zone once (thanks to DJ Uiagalelei stealing some touchdowns), but he has picked up a few receptions as well. Martinez can carry a heavy load and likely will against the Cougars as Uiagalelei still works out the kinks in this offense.
Jonathon Brooks, Texas ($5,900)
Brooks ground up Wyoming last week for 164 yards on the ground. It was a really good DFS day even if he didn't find the end zone. Texas was expected to use CJ Baxter as much as Brooks, but that has not come to fruition. Brooks has been too good to take out of the game. Brooks has 47 carries through three games, so he is going to have a healthy workload against the worst run defense Texas has seen so far this season.
Omarion Hampton, North Carolina ($5,500)
Hampton's price is rather ridiculous too. Even against a top-20 Minnesota run defense last week, Hampton scored a touchdown and caught two passes to salvage his DFS day. Pitt's run defense is strong, but likely not as good as Minnesota's or South Carolina's – teams that Hampton still put up a combined 30.4 DraftKings points against.
Also consider: Audric Estime, Notre Dame ($7,500); Raheim Sanders, Arkansas ($5,700); Logan Diggs, LSU ($5,600); DJ Giddens, Kansas State ($5,200); Leshon Williams, Iowa ($5,100)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State ($9,400)
Harrison is a cheat code. He has 286 receiving yards in the last two games after the two-headed quarterback for the Buckeyes in the opener forgot that they had the best receiver in college on their team. Kyle McCord didn't forget in Week 2, so that's why he's now the starter. Notre Dame is going to provide some resistance, so don't expect another 70+ yard touchdown. What we can expect is double digit targets and receptions and probably a touchdown. I'll take that even if he doesn't hit triple digits.
Nate McCollum, North Carolina ($6,200)
The Tarheels went to the friendly skies to move the ball against Minnesota and found Air Marshall McCollum, formerly of Georgia Tech. McCollum missed Week 1 and only caught one pass against Appalachian State before exploding for 15 receptions and 165 yards against the Gophers. Expect the Tarheels to hit Pitt over the top as well, something West Virginia would have done had they not lost their starting quarterback after six plays.
Lincoln Victor, Washington State ($5,100)
Victor already has 24 receptions in just three games with 342 yards and three touchdowns. He's making hay in the slot on the Paloose and will continue to do so, even against teams like Oregon State. Victor's immense target share and game-breaking speed make him an absolute steal at this price. He's one of my favorite plays on the whole slate.
Holden Staes, Notre Dame ($4,400)
Staes was relatively quiet against Central Michigan last week, but his one reception was a touchdown. Staes has four touchdowns in three games on just six receptions. Sam Hartman knows where to go in the red zone.
Also consider: Malik Nabers, LSU ($8,000); KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Penn State ($6,600); Anthony Gould, Oregon State ($6,000); Andrew Armstrong, Arkansas ($5,800); Ben Sinnott, Kansas State ($4,700); Ja'Tavion Sanders, Texas ($4,000)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Texas
The Baylor defense hasn't been terrible, but it hasn't been that good either. The main reason that I'm on Texas is the affordability of this stack. Ewers, Brooks, Xavier Worthy, Adonai Mitchell, and Sanders would still leave you $6,900 per slot for RB, Flex, and Superflex. I'm definitely running one of these!!
Oregon State
There are a lot of tough defenses on this slate tonight. Teams have moved the ball on the Cougs, and by that, I mean Wisconsin. Uiagalelei, Martinez, and Gould feels like a nice mini-stack. Silas Bolden is a game breaker and might be able to get behind this defense.
