WNBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks, Best Bets (6/2/23): WNBA DFS Advice for DraftKings and FanDuel

WNBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball stock

Justin Carter's top daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for 6/2/23. Expert WNBA DFS advice for DraftKings and FanDuel and today's best bets.

We're back with another four-game slate on Friday night, with games staggered all night so you can watch a little bit of all the WNBA action. But if you only watch one game, I'd suggest Wings/Mystics at 7 p.m. ET, because there's a chance you're watching two top-five teams in that one, depending on if the Wings can keep up their current pace.

If you're looking for WNBA daily fantasy picks and some betting advice this season, then you're in the right place. I'll be here providing picks for any slate with two or more games, as well as adding a little betting advice as well.

In this article, I'll be providing you with some daily fantasy WNBA lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineup picks will range from elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The slates lock on 6/2/2023 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Want to talk more about the WNBA? I'm always available on Twitter and always down to discuss women's basketball: @juscarts.

WNBA DFS Picks: Forward

Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty) - @ CHI - DK: $13,000, FD: $9,700

It's hard to not make Stewie the anchor for your lineup. After a relatively quiet opener, she's been on fire for the past three games, scoring over 20 points in each contest.

Last time out, Stewart finished with 25 points against her former team, the Seattle Storm. She was 8-for-14 from the floor and also added 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and two steals.

It was her third double-digit rebound game this season. Until Jonquel Jones is fully healthy and able to play a full game, Stewart's rebound numbers will remain high. She also has at least one steal in every contest this year.

Satou Sabally (Dallas Wings) - @ WAS - DK: $10,700, FD: $8,000

The Wings are in danger of running the oft-injured Satou Sabally into the ground with how much they're relying on her, but as long as she keeps producing I imagine they'll keep getting the ball to her.

Sabally's scored at least 17 points in every game this season and is coming off her second double-double, with 23 points and 11 rebounds in 39 minutes against the Lynx.

She also tied a season-high wth five assists in that game, plus added three steals. It's pretty clear at this point that when it comes to scoring, the Wings are going to rely more on Sabally, Arike Ogunbowale, and Natasha Howard than everyone else:

Honestly, it makes all three strong nightly plays. I prefer Sabally slightly over Howard because there's more scoring upside, but it's close. You should probably build lineups featuring both.

Sika Kone (Chicago Sky) - vs NY - DK: $5,500, FD: $4,100

The Sky are currently one of the most injury-riddled teams in...well, in any sport, as Isabelle Harrison, Ruthy Hebard, Rebekah Gardner, and Moran Bertsch are all out right now.

The fact that three of those four are frontcourt players is why I'm recommending Kone, who should see additional opportunities while Harrison and Bertsch are out.

Kone has been producing in limited minutes. In her WNBA debut, she played 23 minutes, scoring 10 points on 3-for-5 shooting with six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Last game, she played just 14 minutes but had six points and eight boards.

Her turnovers are a concern and the minutes haven't been as clear as you'd like. But she should continue to get on the floor for now, and the fact she was the second Sky player off the bench after Dana Evans last game is a good sign.

WNBA DFS Picks: Guard

Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury) - vs. LA - DK: $9,400, FD: $6,900

The Mercury don't have a lot of depth, which has left them relying pretty heavily on 40-year-old Diana Taurasi. She's taken double-digit shot attempts in every game and is coming off her best showing of the season in her most recent game.

In 32 minutes, Taurasi went 5-for-12 from the floor, her most efficient shooting effort of the season. She finished with 23 points and was 4-for-9 from deep and 9-for-10 from the free throw line, also adding 10 assists, three rebounds, and one steal.

She's taken exactly nine threes in each game this season, plus has five or more assists in all three contests as well. Shey Peddy's return will eventually eat into Taurasi's numbers a bit, but I imagine the Mercury play it safe and have Peddy on a minutes limit in her first game back.

Jordin Canada (Los Angeles Sparks) - @ PHO - DK: $7,600, FD: $6,100

As long as Jasmine Thomas remains sidelined, the Sparks are going to rely a lot on the ball-handling skills of Jordin Canada. And we got a good look at how much they need Canada in the game she missed against Vegas, as the Sparks lost 93-65.

In the last game Canada played, she had 11 points on 4-for-11 shooting and also added six rebounds, four assists, and four steals. She's averaging 3.0 steals per game, a number that will drop a bit, but not too much since Canada is such an active defender.

Haley Jones (Atlanta Dream) - vs. LV - DK: $3,700, FD: $3,900

Risky play here, but her price makes it so easy to build a strong lineup around her, so I'm going to take the risk on Friday night, because if Jones can repeat what she did last game, this will end up being a huge value.

After playing sparingly in her first three WNBA contests, Jones played 19 minutes last game against Chicago. In 19 minutes of play, she was 5-f0r-9 with 13 points and also added three rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal.

I thought getting Jones where they did was a steal for the Dream. IMO, she was a top-three talent in this draft class, and if she continues to get on the floor, I believe she'll continue to produce. Sure, she could see her minutes and usage drop back to what they were before the last game, but at under $4,000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel, I can't resist the value.

WNBA Bet of the Day

Every day, I'll provide my favorite bet. I'll be using DraftKings Sportsbook for the odds.

Season Record: 2-4

Lost Wings -5.5 last article by the 0.5. Tough beat there. Let's try again.

New York Liberty -10.5

The Sky just have too many injury concerns right now, while the Liberty are on a three-game win streak. New York has the second-best net rating in the league at +8.5, while the Sky are seventh at +0.5, a number that's skewed a little from opening the season with a healthier roster and a game against the Lynx. Chicago is 1-2 over the last three games, including an 83-65 loss to Atlanta last time out. With no Rebekah Gardner or Morgan Bertsch, I think that game is a better preview of Friday night than the Sky's other contests this season.
