2026 Fantasy Football Rookie Superflex Outlooks

Kenyon Sadiq, New York Jets

New York Jets rookie first-round tight end Kenyon Sadiq (hernia) had surgery for a sports hernia, but head coach Aaron Glenn said he expects the Oregon product to be ready for training camp, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 21-year-old should be fine for the start of the 2026 regular season in early September, but he is going to miss valuable reps going into his first year in the NFL during OTAs and minicamp next month. Sadiq is a physical freak at 6-foot-3 and 241 pounds and is more of an oversized receiver than a traditional tight end.

He caught 51 passes for 560 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns in 14 games in 2025 in his final season with the Ducks, and he could immediately be fantasy relevant in single-year leagues in 2026, even though Geno Smith will be starting at QB for the Jets. The presence of second-year TE Mason Taylor will definitely lower Sadiq's ceiling in redraft leagues, but RotoBaller already has him ranked as the No. 15 fantasy TE for the upcoming campaign.

Makai Lemon, Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles rookie first-round wide receiver Makai Lemon is already working with the starters during 7-on-7 drills at OTA practices, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com. It shouldn't exactly be a surprise after the Eagles traded up in the first round to take the former USC star with the 20th overall pick. The 21-year-old could immediately become Philly's WR2 behind DeVonta Smith in 2026, with the expectation that the Eagles will ship Pro Bowler A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots at some point next week.

Neither Brown nor Dontayvion Wicks is present for OTAs this week, which helps, but that shouldn't take away from the fact that Lemon is expected to be a big part of the Eagles' offensive reboot this year under first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Lemon has an opportunity for a big role in Year 1, but he will most likely be overvalued in fantasy in an offense that still has talented tight end Dallas Goedert and star running back Saquon Barkley. Target Lemon as more of a WR4/flex in single-year fantasy leagues this fall.

Antonio Williams, Washington Commanders

Commanders rookie wide receiver Antonio Williams was a productive option out of the slot across three healthy seasons at Clemson, and his landing spot in Washington could allow him to see the field immediately in an offense helmed by one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league. In a rookie class with very few prospects to get genuinely excited about, those are at least reasons to look his way in dynasty rookie drafts.

A third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Williams ran almost 80% of his routes from the slot, and in Washington, his biggest barriers to immediate playing time are Luke McCaffrey and Jaylin Lane, neither of whom has produced significantly across their three combined seasons with the Commanders.

David Blough steps into the offensive coordinator position after two years as the team's assistant quarterbacks coach, so his play-calling tendencies are still a bit of a question mark, but whoever earns the primary slot role could still struggle to find meaningful work in an offense expected to run through Terry McLaurin and a league trending towards heavier personnel usage. Williams is RotoBaller's rookie WR7, and while he was never a true dominator in college, he at least has a path to step in as the second or third receiving option in an uptrending Washington offense, making him a worthwhile selection at the end of the first or early-second round of rookie drafts.

J'Mari Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars

Jaguars running back J'Mari Taylor went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft before signing on with Jacksonville as a priority free agent. An older and undersized prospect, he's a long shot to even stick with the team out of training camp, much less contribute for fantasy. That said, if Taylor can earn a roster spot or find a job on the practice squad, his well-rounded skill set could allow him to provide injury insurance for multiple backs currently on the roster.

Despite his size, he is a willing and able tackle-breaker, and he reliably earned targets in the passing game at both Virginia and North Carolina Central. While he is unlikely to be selected in most dynasty rookie drafts, Taylor is a prime post-draft waiver pickup and taxi squad candidate in deeper dynasty leagues.

Carnell Tate, Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans rookie first-round wide receiver Carnell Tate was an "instant winner" during the team's OTA practice session on Thursday, according to Austin Stanley of A to Z Sports. Tate, the fourth overall pick in April out of Ohio State, had multiple touchdown catches from quarterback Cam Ward in team drills, both long and short. He was catching footballs all over the field, both open and contested, and his hands and body control were "as advertised."

Some draft analysts thought the Titans reached considerably when taking Tate within the first five picks of this year's draft, especially after his 4.53-second 40-yard dash was a disappointment at the combine. The 21-year-old wins with quickness and strong route-running skills over physicality at 6-foot-2 and 192 pounds.

He might not be the highest-ceiling rookie wideout, but he is expected to contribute immediately in coordinator Brian Daboll's offense, and he should be fantasy relevant right away in redraft leagues in 2026. Tate's fantasy value in his rookie year will be tied to Ward's Year 2 development, but RotoBaller has the former Buckeye ranked as the No. 29 fantasy WR in 2026.
