Xavier Worthy fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 4 (2024). Should you start or sit Xavier Worthy for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3/WR4
ANALYSIS: Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy dazzled in Week 1, scoring two touchdowns in his debut and showing off his blinding speed. He proceeded to do basically nothing in his next two games, but that's not surprising given his low usage.
Worthy scored just 4.20 and 5.00 PPR fantasy points in Weeks 2 and 3, and was only targeted four times each in the contests. Such is the life for rookie receivers in Chiefs head coach Andy Reid's offensive system. It's a complicated offense to learn, and Worthy has some work to do.
Missed shot to Xavier Worthy on first drive
The deep post vs. 2-high typically hits skinny, but X actually gets on top of both safeties, so he has the whole field to run away from the CB

The upside is tantalizing, though. Had QB Patrick Mahomes connected with Worthy on the above play, it would've been a huge touchdown. There's some blame to go around for both players. Worthy is inexperienced and Mahomes hasn't been playing at a high level this season, as crazy as it sounds.
Fantasy managers had to be patient with WR Rashee Rice last year, but he broke out towards the end of the season. Worthy should see greater volume and more consistency in the second half of the season. He's not the best start for now, though. Look to start him when he begins earning 6+ targets per game.
