Worlds Group Stage DFS Lineup Picks for 10/11/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and Worlds DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 10/11/21. He discusses the Worlds Group Stage LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Worlds Group Stage is finally upon us after one of the more memorable play-in stages in recent years.

Worlds is the best time of year for League of Legends as we get to see the top teams from all the regions battle it out to see who is the best. There are plenty of great teams in this tournament and I look forward to covering the DFS slates along the way. We start the Group stage with a juicy 8 game slate.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the slate beginning on Monday, October 11th, 2021 at 7:00 AM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

Matchups

  • DWG vs. FPX (-135)
  • RNG (-310) vs. PSG Talon
  • FNC (-115) vs. HLE (-115)
  • Gen G. vs. LNG (-155)
  • T1 (-475) vs. DFM
  • 100T  vs. EDG (-350)
  • MAD (-175) vs. TL
  • RGE (-150) vs. C9

** As I was writing this up it was announced that Fnatic ADC Upset will not play in their game against HLE**

Captain

Gala - RNG: Gala will be tough to fit in at captain as he is the second most expensive player in the entire slate on DK however, this match has the highest over/under of all the games on Monday. Gala carried a 27.7% kill share which led RNG throughout the summer split. Gala had 28 kills in RNG's 3-1 series win over PSG at MSI.

Elyoya - MAD: I would try to find a way to get someone from RNG as my captain but if looking to go a different way Elyoya makes a lot of sense. Elyoya had a 74.7% kill participation for the Mad Lions during the playoffs which saw MAD take home the trophy. We have seen from the play-ins that the junglers are going to be very involved and we could see Elyoya finish with a monster score.

TOP

Xiahou - RNG: Xiahou was second to Gala in kill share during the summer split and has massive upside in the top lane on this slate. He is one of the cheaper members of RNG which makes fitting him into lineups much easier compared to some of the other lanes. RNG could play towards the top lane early on as Gala farms up on the bottom side which could help to put Xiahou ahead.

Ale - LNG: Ale looked amazing as LNG went undefeated during the play-in stage. Ale racked up 26 kills in 4 games which were good for an insane 37.7% kill share and a KDA of 14. He also was able to have massive gold and XP difference numbers in the early game. Ale is a breakout player to watch during this group stage.

JUNGLE

Elyoya - MAD: See above

Wei - RNG: If you are planning to stack RNG, Wei is an absolute lock in your lineups. Wei does so much for this RNG team and is consistently able to help get his laners ahead. He was second and third in kill share and participation during the summer split.

MID

Chovy - HLE: All of HLE is very cheap on this slate. Fnatic is a very aggressive team and if HLE can find a way to win this game they will be an incredible value. Chovy's kill numbers were shockingly low during play-ins he was still incredible in lane and those numbers have nowhere to go but up during groups.

Humanoid - MAD: I see the Mad Lions as a much better team than Team Liquid so this is a good spot for MAD to rack up some kills. Humanoid led MAD in kill share during their playoff run and will look to keep that going into worlds.

ADC

Gala - RNG: See above.

Deft - HLE: Going back to the well on HLE with Deft, as much of what was said with Chovy relates to Deft as well. Fnatic is an aggressive team that in losses typically has high death totals. As an LEC guy, I want to see Fnatic win this game but the value on HLE is leaning me towards that side not to mention HLE has already been playing where it will be Fnatic's first game of the tournament. Unlike Chovy, Deft brings in a 33.3% kill share during play-ins.

SUPPORT

Ming- RNG: If you can afford Ming, the is the support to target on this slate. Ming and Gala are the stronger bot lane in this matchup and Gala is capable of putting up massive kill totals giving Ming plenty of assists along the way.

Kaiser - MAD: If you need a cheap support, I don't mind using Crisp as FPX is the favorite in that game. Kaiser is in the middle tier price range for supports but has the upside of the top-priced supports on this slate. He is an aggressive support who isn't afraid of initiating team fights for MAD. He also has great synergy with jungle Elyoya and they work well roaming the map together.

TEAM

MAD: Based on the pricing on DK, the Mad Lions are my favorite play for the team slot. They should have no trouble against Team Liquid and come in cheaper than the heavy favorites on the slate.

FPX/DWG: I am going, to be honest here, I don't know who is going to win this game but I am excited to watch it. Both FPX and DWG are great teams and are likely to finish 1/2 in their group. at 4600 on DK both teams offer a great value.

Final Thoughts

With this being the first slate of the group stage there are still plenty of unknowns and anything can happen in best of ones. LoL DFS isn't just about rostering players on winning teams, but finding which teams are going to put up the most kills. We get an example of this on day 1 with the HLE/FNC game, many people will see the close odds and avoid the game however it offers plenty of DFS upside. With how cheap C9 is and how Rogue looked during the LEC playoffs taking a shot on C9 on day 1 isn't a bad idea either. I plan on having no shares of the T1/DFM game while loading up on RNG.
