Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
George Pickens, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens had only two catches in the Week 5 win over the Jets. While Ryan Flournoy led the way with six receptions (nine targets), Pickens at least had a touchdown, finding the end zone off of a 43-yard pass from Dak Prescott in the third quarter.
With CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) sidelined, Prescott will need others to step up once again in the Week 6 meeting with the Panthers.
Although that could mean continued added involvement from Flournoy and Jake Ferguson, who had two touchdowns versus New York, Pickens is still considered the No. 1 option on the depth chart against Carolina, making him worthy of a place in any fantasy lineup.
Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (leg) is not expected to play in the Week 6 game against the San Francisco 49ers after he missed practice all week. Godwin's fibula injury is in a different area than the fracture he suffered when he dislocated his ankle last October.
Right now, he will be week-to-week, depending on how he progresses, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. The Bucs have no plans to place Godwin on Injured Reserve at this time, according to sources. Godwin made his 2025 debut in Week 4, but now he's injured again and could miss multiple games.
Mike Evans (hamstring) is going to miss another game, too, leaving rookie first-rounder Emeka Egbuka and Sterling Shepard as the team's top two wideouts. Tez Johnson should also have an elevated role, and tight end Cade Otton figures to draw more looks in the passing game.
Deebo Samuel Sr., WR, Commanders
Washington Commanders wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (heel) was a limited participant during Friday's practice session. After sitting out on Thursday, Samuel was back on the field on Friday.
Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned as the Commanders were just resting Samuel on Thursday. He's dealing with a minor heel issue, but that shouldn't impact his status for the Monday night matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Fellow wideout Terry McLaurin (quad) is still banged up, so Deebo Samuel should be a fine WR2 for Week 6.
Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle, ribs) is listed as questionable on the team's final depth chart for Week 6. According to Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com, Jennings can be considered a game-time decision.
With the 49ers' kickoff scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, fantasy managers considering starting Jennings will be limited on who they can pivot to if the receiver is scratched. Further muddying Jennings' projection is the 49ers' quarterback situation. Brock Purdy (toe) is out, giving way for a fourth Mac Jones (knee, oblique) start.
Should Jones' own injuries limit him or prevent him from playing, it will be Adrian Martinez under center for his first regular season action in his career. Assuming he plays and has Jones throwing to him, Jennings can be treated as a WR3/4, but fantasy managers will need to be on guard for updates throughout the weekend.
Davante Adams, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams is a very strong WR2 option in fantasy football ahead of his Week 6 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Adams has posted at least 13.8 fantasy points (PPR) in each of his last four games, including a touchdown in three of those four.
The talented veteran hasn't been quite as dominant as teammate Puka Nacua, but he's still a must-start fantasy receiver, especially with a favorable matchup on tap. This week, Adams faces the Ravens, who are banged up on both sides of the ball. Baltimore has allowed the most touchdowns and third-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025.
Former Packers and Jets great, Davanta Adams, is a top-18 fantasy receiver this week, and a touchdown could vault him into the top 12.
