Tristan Jarry Takes Over Penguins Crease Thursday
Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry has been named the starter for Thursday's clash against the New York Islanders. This will be his first appearance of the season after Pittsburgh went with Arturs Silovs on Tuesday night against the New York Rangers. Silovs bagged a 25-save shutout in a 3-0 win, putting pressure on Jarry to perform well. It's been a rollercoaster for Jarry in Pittsburgh in recent years, and he was even forced to spend some time in the minors last season when the team waived him. Jarry finished the season in the NHL with a 16-12-6 record, a 3.09 goals-against average, a .893 save percentage, and two shutouts. The former All-Star definitely needs to improve his form this season if he wants to reclaim his spot as the Penguins' undisputed starter.
