Kyle's favorite WR vs. CB matchups to exploit for Week 6 of 2025 - DFS wide receivers to target on DraftKings and FanDuel. These WR/CB matchups are GPP and cash game opportunities.
Welcome to the Wide Receiver Matchups to Target column for Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. With five games of data to work with, we can now lean on individual performance, matchup grades, pace of play, and implied totals to pinpoint the best WRs to target in daily fantasy lineups. Week 5 was a mixed bag, as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tetairoa McMillan, and Michael Pittman Jr. all came close to 3x'ing their salaries, while George Pickens and Keenan Allen fell short despite exploitable matchups.
This week, we'll break down the top five WR/CB matchups using Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades, along with key usage metrics that indicate which players can realistically hit 3x their DraftKings salary. This is meant to serve as a guide for both cash games and GPPs -- these guys are in position to smash regardless of the contest type you're playing in.
Below are my top five WR vs. CB matchups for this week’s DFS main slate. Use these insights to fine-tune season-long lineups, player props, and DFS builds. Let’s get to it!

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
- $7.6K on DraftKings, $9K on FanDuel
- Vs. Greg Newsome II (Jacksonville Jaguars)
JSN has rapidly emerged as one of the top wide receivers in the league, averaging an outstanding 21.7 DK PPG as the primary threat in the Seahawks' passing attack. He exploded for 30.2 DK points in Week 5, catching 8-of-9 targets for 132 yards and a score against a top-10 Tampa Bay pass defense. The volume isn't going away, as he holds the second-highest target share in the NFL at a robust 33.1%.
He'll primarily square off with Greg Newsome II (49th of 106 CBs), who was recently acquired in a trade with the Browns. It's difficult to predict exactly how he'll fit in and the kind of impact he can make since he just arrived, but we know the Jaguars struggle with WR1s. They're allowing the most receptions per game (seven) and the fourth-most yards per game (80.6) to WR1s, so as long as JSN can maintain his strong connection with Sam Darnold, he should eat in this matchup.
Good luck stopping Jaxon Smith-Njigba with one man 🏝️ pic.twitter.com/J3dvhZdbXP

The game holds a high 47.5-point implied total with a 1.5-point spread, so we could easily have a shootout on our hands here. Fire Smith-Njigba up in all formats.
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
- $6.7K on DraftKings, $7.8K on FanDuel
- Vs. Marlon Humphrey (Baltimore Ravens)
Puka Nacua also looks incredible in this spot, but he's the highest-priced player on the slate and will be extremely popular. Pivoting to Adams could be the move. He's seeing a healthy 25.7% target share, ranks No. 3 in the NFL in air yards (573), and leads the league in red-zone targets (10). His weekly output has been consistent yet slightly underwhelming, averaging 15.7 DK PPG while popping for a ceiling game of 25.6 DK points in Week 2.
The veteran still has the juice, and the spot couldn't get much better this week. Injuries have decimated the Ravens, and they're now ranked 24th in pass DVOA while allowing the third-most fantasy points per game to WRs. Adams will see a lot of Marlon Humphrey (104 of 106 CBs), who has been one of the most attackable corners in the league this season. He holds an abysmal 36.3 coverage grade while allowing a 76.2% catch rate, 224 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in his coverage this season.
Take the salary and ownership discount on Adams this week and get ready for him to crush value in DFS lineups on Sunday.
Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
- $6K on DraftKings, $6.6K on FanDuel
- Vs. DaRon Bland, Trevon Diggs (Dallas Cowboys)
McMillan hasn't broken out like many suspected he would in his rookie season. He's averaging just 12.4 DK PPG while recording 24 receptions for 351 scoreless yards through five games. However, there are many positive signs that things are getting better, and Week 6 is his golden opportunity to burst onto the scene.
First, he's getting a ton of looks, as he's seen at least eight targets in every game this season. Second, his production has ramped up in recent weeks, with 7.8 DK points (Week 3), 10.2 DK points (Week 4), and 13.3 DK points (Week 5). Third, and most importantly, a matchup with the floundering Cowboys defense is what dreams are made of.
Dallas ranks last in pass DVOA while allowing the most fantasy points per game to WRs. It ranks 29th in pass DVOA vs. WR1s, which lines up well with McMillan being the clear lead receiver for the Panthers. The matchup holds the highest implied total on the board at 49.5 points, so there's going to be plenty of fantasy goodness to be had at Bank of America Stadium in Week 6. Trust in the breakout -- it's coming.

Stefon Diggs, New England Patriots
- $5.8K on DraftKings, $5.9K on FanDuel
- Vs. Alontae Taylor (New Orleans Saints)
This is a smash spot for Diggs, who has turned it on in a significant way recently. After a slow start to the season, the veteran wideout has put up 19.1 DK points and 27.6 DK points in consecutive weeks. He caught 16-of-19 targets for 247 yards in matchups against Buffalo and Carolina, and there's room for an uptick in fantasy points as he has yet to reach the end zone this season. With the way he and Drake Maye are clicking as of late, it feels inevitable that touchdowns will be coming.
Stefon Diggs is a true veteran receiver. He knew Drake Maye was in trouble and got creative. Huge play: pic.twitter.com/0I2IXGHqmR

He has a chance to blow his middling salary out of the water in Week 6. The Saints rank 28th in pass DVOA, 23rd in pass DVOA vs. WR1s, and 31st in fantasy points per target allowed.
Alontae Taylor has been above-average via PFF rankings, but he has already allowed three touchdowns in his coverage this season. The Saints' other cornerbacks, Quincy Riley and Kool-Aid McKinstry, aren't scaring anyone. Ride the hot hand with Diggs in Week 6 before his price jumps up into the mid-to-high $6,000 range, where he probably belongs.
Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers
- $5.6K on DraftKings, $6.3K on FanDuel
- Vs. Jack Jones (Miami Dolphins)
We're running it back with old man Allen in Week 6. The vet has disappointed in recent weeks, but he's still getting the target volume (8.8 per game, No. 6 in the NFL) and target share (25%, No. 17 in the NFL) we're looking for out of a mid-priced WR. His 38.9% red-zone target share is also highly encouraging, particularly against a Dolphins defense that has been among the league's worst to this point in the season.
On this play, Chargers WR Keenan Allen became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 1000 receptions:

Miami ranks 31st in pass DVOA while allowing the second-highest catch rate (68.9%) and the highest deep ball completion rate in the league this season. This all lines up for Allen to crush, and being matched up with cornerback Jack Jones (93rd of 106 CBs) for any amount of snaps is just icing on the cake. The implied total for this game is low, as Vegas doesn't expect Miami to do much on offense, but Allen and the Chargers shouldn't have any trouble putting up fantasy points in this matchup.
Honorable Mention: Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (vs. Arizona Cardinals)
