The running back position has been outstanding for fantasy players this season. Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry have been the top two fantasy football running backs this year.
There have been several other impressive running backs in 2024, and others that have been more hit-or-miss on a week to week basis. Brian Robinson Jr., Breece Hall, and Chuba Hubbard have had solid seasons for the most part, but can they be trusted in the championship week?

Should I Start Brian Robinson Jr. For Fantasy Football?
Robinson is the RB30 for the year, averaging 11.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Alabama star has eight rushing touchdowns this season, a career-high. By comparison, he had seven rushing touchdowns over his first two years in the NFL.

The third-year pro faces the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night. The Falcons have held running backs to 17.7 fantasy points per game, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. Robinson is a low-end RB2 with limited upside in Week 17.
Should I Start Breece Hall For Fantasy Football?
Hall is the RB16 for the year, averaging 13.6 half-point PPR fantasy points. The superstar has struggled since the New York Jets traded for Davante Adams, totaling single-digit fantasy points in nearly half of the seven games. Furthermore, he has five rushing touchdowns this season. Yet, Hall has only two over the past nine weeks.

However, the superstar is a must-start RB2 this week against the Buffalo Bills. They have surrendered 24.3 fantasy points per game to running backs, the third-most in the NFL. Hall had 18 rushing attempts for 113 yards and 19.4 fantasy points in the Week 6 matchup against the division rivals.
Should I Start Chuba Hubbard For Fantasy Football?
UPDATE: Chuba Hubbard was placed on IR by the Panthers on Saturday morning, he will not be suiting up for the Panthers in Week 17.
Hubbard has had an outstanding season. He is the RB11 for the year, averaging 14.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The veteran running back has 10 rushing touchdowns this season after totaling 12 over his first three years in the league.

Last week, Hubbard had 152 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and 30.5 fantasy points in the win over the Arizona Cardinals. Unfortunately, he is a risky RB2 in Week 17 because of the matchup. The veteran faces a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that has held running backs to only 48 rushing yards per game since their Week 11 bye.
