Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Tyjae Spears, Tyler Allgeier, Emari Demercado in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.
The running back position is one marked by scarcity in the NFL. It's hard to find starting running backs that are must-starts in your fantasy football leagues, especially as the season wears on.
We've already seen the New York Giants backfield go from a gold mine to a landfill. When running back Cam Skattebo (ankle) was their workhorse, he was producing RB1 fantasy numbers. Now that he's out for the season, not so much -- the ugly committee of Devin Singletary and Tyrone Tracy Jr. is disappointing fantasy managers everywhere.
However, taking shots on some teams' RB2s is a good way to try to get yourself some more upside. Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears, Atlanta Falcons tailback Tyler Allgeier, and Arizona Cardinals running back Emari Demercado are three RBs you could take a shot on this week. But should you?

Tyjae Spears Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 52% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
It doesn't look like Spears will take over the starting RB job for the Tennessee Titans. In fact, it's more likely that the backfield remains an ugly committee moving forward. The upside case for Spears comes in case of a Pollard injury, because he'd likely get a huge majority of the backfield touches in that case.
Spears has shown more receiving upside than Pollard in the last few seasons, so if he were given the starting nod, it would be reasonable to expect him to get more targets, which are incredibly valuable for fantasy purposes. Unfortunately, the Titans have one of the NFL's worst offenses.
I've been extremely impressed by #Titans RB Tyjae Spears since his return. Medicals are obviously still a concern and it's a limited sample size, but I'd be comfortable trading Pollard and handing Spears the keys https://t.co/uMbrQQ4oKz pic.twitter.com/zfxCmDuj2C

In other words... things haven't been working with Pollard as the starter. He's been mostly lackluster, failing to make a difference for the team. Why not change things up? The Titans used a third-round pick on him, so they clearly believe in his talent as a player.
It's been difficult for him to get off the ground, but he's shown flashes here and there. He should be stashed in case Pollard gets benched or injured -- the upside is very nice here, and there are a few realistic pathways for him to get enough work to be fantasy startable in all leagues.
Tyler Allgeier Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 36% of Leagues
Baller Move: Add in All Leagues
Allgeier once again proved to be a major thorn in the side of fantasy managers of Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson. Allgeier now has six rushing touchdowns on the season, and ran the ball 11 times for 57 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10.
As great as Robinson is, the Falcons still clearly want to use his backup, who weighs 225 pounds. That's around 10 more than Robinson, and gives him a slight power advantage that's useful at the goal line. Robinson is excellent at forcing missed tackles with his shiftiness, but the size difference is actually meaningful.

Perhaps this is also a product of the coaching staff, but Robinson matched up against massive defensive tackles isn't exactly ideal. It could be that they don't want him taking those hits, either. Still, there's a ton of contingent upside if Robinson were to get hurt, when adds to Allgeier's value.
At this point, he should probably be rostered in the vast majority of leagues. He can be an emergency spot starter when you're dealing with bye weeks and injuries, and you can hope he vultures a touchdown or two if the Falcons get in a matchup in which they feel like using him.
Overall, Atlanta's offense has looked better in recent weeks, too, so that helps.
Emari Demercado Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rostered: 38% of Leagues
Baller Move: Don't Add
It's only in desperation scenarios in which you should add Demercado. With Cardinals running back Trey Benson (knee) set to return from injury sometime in the next week or two, the share of available touches for the remaining healthy backs on Arizona's roster isn't anything impressive.
The Cardinals backfield has been an ugly committee ever since running back James Conner (ankle) suffered a season-ending ankle dislocation. The rotation of Emari Demercado and fellow Cardinals RBs Bam Knight and Michael Carter has been very nasty for fantasy football managers.

For what it's worth, Demercado has clearly looked like the most explosive of the three. He also has had the passing downs role, as he's a good blocker. It just hasn't turned into many fantasy points, as Arizona has insisted on using Knight as their early down back.
It's been frustrating for sure, and the problem is that when Benson returns, we could even see him mix in a bit with knight. Demercado should maintain his passing down role, but that's not enough on its own to be fantasy relevant. And there's not much contingent upside even in case of another Benson injury, as we've seen.
