BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 16% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: In an offense that features the likes of Mike Evans, O.J. Howard, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski, you'd be forgiven for not paying much attention to whatever Scotty Miller is doing. That'd be if he wasn't actually the second-best receiver playing for QB Tom Brady through four games this season. You read that right. Sure, Godwin has missed time to injury, and Gronkowski has been pretty much a blocker, but Miller has won himself the WR3 role and he's excelled at it.
Only Evans and Gronkowski (again, basically because he blocks in every goddam play) have played more snaps than Miller this season. Miller has 154 total and 40+ in three of four games. Although he could only score 3.2 PPR points in Week 2 (11 yards on 2 receptions and 3 targets), his other three games had gone for 12.9, 11.3, and lastly a great 19.3 fantasy points.
It's been two weeks in a row being targeted at least 5 times (5 and 7), catching at least 3 passes (3 and 5), and racking up exactly 83 back-to-back receiving yards in weeks 3 and 4. Oh, and this past Sunday Miller also scored his first TD of the year. Not bad.
Tampa has lost Howard for the season with an Achilles injury, and although Gronk will take on some of his passing duties and volume, this could only help Miller's numbers going forward. Only eight wide receivers have three games of 70+ receiving yards this season, Miller among them. Now tell me that doesn't sound good and reason enough to bank on Miller in virtually any league and thrust him into your FLEX position at the very least.
