Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups - Tyler Allgeier, Blake Corum, Brian Robinson Fantasy Football Outlooks

Blake Corum - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

Week 6 fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Tyler Allgeier, Blake Corum, Brian Robinson in 2025. Read their waiver wire outlooks for fantasy football.

Fantasy football managers are always on the lookout for running backs who can provide upside during bye weeks, injury situations, or unpredictable game scripts. Week 6 presents several intriguing options, particularly in backup roles where opportunity and volume can quickly translate into fantasy production. This week’s focus includes three backs—Tyler Allgeier, Blake Corum, and Brian Robinson—who offer varying levels of potential depending on roster construction and matchup context.

Tyler Allgeier has emerged as one of the few true backup backs capable of standalone production, particularly near the goal line for the Falcons. Blake Corum, meanwhile, remains highly situational but carries upside as a handcuff in the Rams’ backfield, especially in run-heavy scripts. Finally, Brian Robinson is a more traditional handcuff to Christian McCaffrey, offering limited touches unless McCaffrey misses time but still worth rostering in deeper leagues for insurance.

Each player presents a unique scenario for fantasy managers. Allgeier combines consistent volume with red-zone opportunities, Corum’s potential spikes with game script, and Robinson’s value is tied directly to McCaffrey’s availability. Understanding these roles and the matchups they face will be key in deciding who to add for Week 6, whether for short-term depth or longer-term upside in deeper rosters.

Tyler Allgeier Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 31% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add in 12+ team leagues

Tyler Allgeier is one of the few backup running backs in the NFL who can legitimately serve as a startable standalone option in fantasy football. Over the first four games of the season, Allgeier has totaled 43 carries, averaging just under 11 attempts per week. His workload may fluctuate based on game script, but he has consistently seen enough touches to provide meaningful fantasy production.

Allgeier has carved out a niche as the Falcons’ primary goal-line back. Through four weeks, he has outscored starter Bijan Robinson on rushing attempts two-to-one inside the red zone. While Allgeier does not contribute significantly in the passing game—registering just three targets this season—his short-yardage and touchdown opportunities make him a valuable asset for managers seeking points in the trenches.

His role is especially important to monitor during bye weeks or if Robinson were to miss time. Allgeier would become an immediate flex option with standalone value, capable of producing efficient and high-leverage plays that can swing fantasy matchups.

With his consistent touches, goal-line opportunities, and the potential for an expanded role if Robinson is unavailable, Allgeier remains a low-owned but high-upside option. Fantasy managers should consider keeping him rostered, particularly in deeper leagues, where his value could continue to climb as the season progresses.

Blake Corum Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 17% of Leagues

Baller Move: Add as bye week streaming option

Blake Corum has seen his role fluctuate too much over the course of the season to be considered a reliable standalone fantasy option. After showing promise with 11 touches in Week 4, the second-year back was limited to just a single carry in the team’s Week 5 loss to the 49ers. The inconsistency has made it difficult for fantasy managers to trust him on a weekly basis, though his potential upside remains tied directly to the performance and health of starter Kyren Williams.

Heading into the Rams’ matchup with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, Corum should once again be viewed primarily as a handcuff to Williams. His value will spike if Williams is limited or forced out due to injury, but otherwise, Corum’s touches are likely to remain situational and dependent on game script.

If the Rams can build a lead early, they may lean on a run-heavy approach that utilizes both backs. That scenario is particularly enticing against the Ravens, who rank 30th in the league against the run and allow an average of 146.4 rushing yards per game. In such a game script, Corum could see a handful of touches and even goal-line opportunities.

For managers in need of a bye-week filler or those confident in a Rams lead, Corum presents a low-risk, high-upside option. While he’s unlikely to produce consistent week-to-week numbers, he remains a valuable handcuff with occasional standalone fantasy potential when conditions align.

Brian Robinson Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

Rostered: 39% of Leagues

Baller Move: Useful only as a handcuff to McCaffrey

Brian Robinson continues to see consistent usage in a backup capacity in the 49ers backfield. Through five games, Robinson has averaged just 5.4 carries per contest for 21.6 yards. These modest numbers make it clear that he cannot be relied upon as a standalone fantasy option while Christian McCaffrey remains ahead of him on the depth chart. Robinson’s production is tied almost entirely to McCaffrey’s health and availability, limiting his week-to-week upside.

McCaffrey remains one of the most injury-prone backs in the league, and holding his handcuff is always a prudent move, especially at this stage of the 29-year-old running back’s career. Robinson provides insurance in the event McCaffrey misses time, but outside of that, his touches are too sporadic to justify regular roster inclusion.

The 49ers face a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that ranks sixth in limiting rushing efficiency, allowing just 3.8 yards per attempt. Meanwhile, San Francisco has struggled to establish the run, averaging just 3.1 yards per carry as a team. These factors point to a continued reliance on the passing game and likely minimal opportunities for Robinson to see meaningful touches.

Given San Francisco’s struggles in the ground game and Tampa Bay’s stout run defense, fantasy managers should temper expectations. Robinson remains a situational handcuff with limited standalone value, and another quiet week is the most likely outcome unless McCaffrey is sidelined.
