New Jersey Devils defenseman Brett Pesce (undisclosed) will play in Thursday's season-opening matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. "I feel great," Pesce told reporters Wednesday. "Ready to roll." This will be an exciting night for Pesce as he will play his 700th career game against the team that drafted him. Pesce spent nine seasons with the Hurricanes before signing with the Devils as a free agent last summer. The 30-year-old has limited fantasy potential. He finished his first year in New Jersey with 17 points (three goals, 14 assists), 99 shots, and 138 blocks in 72 appearances.--Taavi Pailk
