Winnipeg Jets center Jonathan Toews (undisclosed) is available to make his team debut on Thursday against the Dallas Stars. He was initially iffy for Winnipeg's season opener after the team placed Toews on Injured Reserve at the beginning of the week. Toews last skated in an NHL regular-season contest in April 2023. He will make his comeback as the Jets' second-line center, flanked by Gustav Nyquist and Nikita Chibrikov. During his last season in the league, Toews amassed 15 goals and 31 points in 53 games. The three-time Stanley Cup winner could be a steal for the Jets if he manages similar productivity this season.--Taavi Pailk
