Jazz forward Royce O'Neal is a worthy consideration as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 5 of the NBA season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Somebody explains to me how Royce O'Neale, Utah Jazz starter in all 11 games through Thursday. Yes, I know, Royce is not a world-beater, but again, he's starting games and playing north of 31 MPG, folks! Where can you find such a guy in almost 80% of fantasy leagues!?
O'Neale is quite relegated on offense when it comes to using/finishing plays. That makes sense, considering Utah features the likes of Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Bojan Bogdanovic. The good thing about O'Neale, though, is that he's a reasonably good fantasy asset entirely non-dependant on scoring, which is nice to have around. Royce is pulling down 7.5 RPG on the season while dishing out 2 APG and getting almost a steal per game.
In the past three games (all played in the last seven days) Royce has put up a 7-6-4-1 line while also blocking a shot. He has committed just three turnovers in those three games combined, and the only thing missing on his game is really getting to the free-throw line. If he can get there, he could turn into a much-more-rostered player down the road.
