Yasmani Grandal Out Against Blue Jays
2 years agoChicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal (back) is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays while dealing with back spasms. It remains to be seen how much time he'll miss with the injury, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the 34-year-old veteran backstop miss at least a couple days of action. In his first 79 plate appearances of the 2023 season over 21 games played, Grandal has gone 18-for-70 (.257) with seven doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored for his fantasy managers. With Grandal on the bench Wednesday, Seby Zavala will do the catching for the Pale Hose and will hit seventh against Blue Jays left-hander Yusei Kikuchi.
